I'm so happy to hear this :yay: I loved her a skater when she had her successful years, and seeing her in that miserable state this summer made me hope for a change. If that means coaching, good luck to Polina! :cheer: (but is coaching her final choice, or is she still training?)

Polina Shelepen retired as a skater.

Polina Shelepen retired as a skater.
Thank you! (Retiring at this point is surely better than having a Caroline Zhang/Fumie Suguri career for me :slink: ) So, I hope to see her with good skaters in the big competitions soon

Natalja ZABIJAKO / Yuri LARIONOV - solid mature skating. Good luck at Nationals, Natalja and Yuri! You can pretend to Team Russia.

Junior pairs at this event are not very interesting.

Maybe I am misled by this shaky video filmed from quite a distance, buy I think Larionov has put on weight since his breakup with Vera. I've seen him quite heavy and tired, similar to Stanislav Morozov and his last competitions with Tatiana Volosozhar.

Proklova may WD because of injury (not so serious, but she may not risk to make it worse).

Didn't Sasha need this event to qualify for Russian Nationals?

Seeing Polina Shelepen coaching made me smile from ear to ear. Good luck to her.

In Senior Ladies all leaders WD.
First after SP is Iuschenko, second Korobeynikova, others are unknown (i.e. not so good).

When will Russian Federation publish who qualified to the Russian nationals? I am so curious... some skaters are obvious (those who competed at the GP events or those who qualified for JGPF get pass to the nationals), but I wonder whether the Federation will give a chance some new couples/pairs who didn't qualify because they competed only in one Russian cup event. Namely I wonder whether Davankova/Enbert and Zahorski/Gur. will will be allowed to compete at the nationals. And perhaps Proklova, considering that she was fighting with the injury at the beginning of the season, and then she had all the JGP finalists in her Russian Cup event... Seriously, how fair it would be that Proklova can't compete because she did not qualify, but Artemeva and Stavitskaya will compete based on having a GP event (even though they got lower score at their international competitions/GP events than Proklova at her JGP).
