I understand that, but I don't think she should change that radically now, because she might "need" to look more "mature", whatever that means.
Using bright colors can be fun and beautiful. It's the matching, or lack of taste (not the right word but you know what I mean) for colors, that kill most of them.

Ah yes, if she still looks the same for 1-2 years, she doesn't have too look mature. I hope she wears something suite her age but still classy. Like Yulia.
But for sure I don't hope for her to drastically change her style like Mao 2008 vs Mao 2010. That dark costume and make-up hwell:

I understand and somewhat agree with most of you about Liza throwing in a few splashes of color here and there. However, at the same time, I am getting harsh flashbacks to my older teenage/young adult years where all I was comfortable wearing was black and hearing my mother harp, harp, harp on me for not 'throwing on some color' 'you'd look so good in some blue' 'what about some pink or purple' 'maybe wear a skirt now and then' 'why don't you put your hair up' etc. :scowl:

I love black and I use it a lot actually. More during winter time though.
I do get your point but in Liza's case, I think she needs to make some changes.
I like her but I swear that If I were a judge (lucky for all I'm not ), I would get depressed every time I see her in black.

Well we've only seen practice outfits so far. Maybe the real costumes will at least have some darker shades on them? We can only hope at this point.

I've given up on her and decent costumes - I wonder if they still have the modesty rule from the late 80's and early 90's because I think her costumes should get some deductions for the amount of see-through fabric she is wearing.

the way Mishin let Liza dress is atrocity (seriously, Mishin, I love you very much but Liza is not Plushy!), Radionova put herself in neon and gymnastic costumes...:scowl:

If those 2 could just combine into 1 and separate and we end up with a nice mixture of color and black, it would be awesome. I miss Liza's colorful red costume from her first GP. Radionova makes me think of toddlers and tiaras on ice with all the neon fabric she was wearing last season.

Adelina's costumes are nightmare inducing sometimes, what a shame since she's so pretty too, I'm so glad she ditched her weird black dress for her LP for the lavender one for Sochi, it's nothing special as a figure skating dress but way more appropriate.

Maybe a bit underwearish but don't you think that the costume itself (say she's not wearing it) is beautifully detailed?
I on the other hand didn't like the pink one she switched to afterwards...

That white dress didnt do much for me either but I've seen it posted time and time again that people loved it. I did like the Pas De Duex pink dress so... I am actually quite bummed she may not do Mulan because I loved her Kung-Fu Panda dress and had similar visions in my head. Maybe she'll do Star Wars.
