Cool! Is it typical for a competitor to skip levels? I know that Mira went from prenovice to seniors. I think Lesley Hawker skipped all levels and went straight into seniors. And now I learn that Myrianne Samson went from prenovice to juniors.

She sounds like a late bloomer, having started triples at 14 years of age.

She hasn't done very well since the Nationals (junior worlds and summer competitions), which makes me unsure of how far she can go as a competitor.

I do love her skating and her jumps, though. And it is really nice to see a lady doing a huge loop/lutz and tack on a double loop afterwards. And I do hope she can increase the speed and flexibility in her spins.

Amelie Lacoste

it seems like Amelie Lacoste is coming back next season. She beat Samson in the Quebec summer skating. One more strong lady in the field.

I think she is horribly inconsistent. I always wanted to laugh hearing the Canadian commentator gushing 'another star is in the making' over her performance at last years' Canadian Nationals.
