Sasha's Best LP Performance

I watched the ladies LP in Dortmund in 2004, and I had somehow never noticed Shizuka before. After she skated, the whole place burst into thundering applause. I was preoccupied the whole time though with Michelle, and after she barely missed out on the bronze (didn't she beat Carolina both in SP and LP and only lost the QR?), I complained bitterly to my bf the whole way home, until he swore he'd never go watch skating with me again.

I'm sad now that I missed out on the whole Sasha/TT/Shiz drama.

I loved the venue, btw, it was a stadium in the middle of a huge park, you basically had to walk through the woods to find it, and then again to find the train station on the way out.

Michelle finished 3rd in Dortmund, rebounding from a lousy QR, a time deduction in the SP that left her in 4th and a streaker disrupting the beginning of her LP to place 2nd in the LP, with a few 6.0s for presentation.

2005 in Moscow is where she placed 3rd in both the SP and LP, but due to the a disastrous QR, ended less than a point off the podium.

Oh, thanks for the reminders. Those two were both disastrous for MK, and somehow they melded in my mind.
