Satoko says her goal for the GPF is to avenge the mistakes she made at Skate Canada and NHK Trophy. She thinks she pays too much attention when she jumps and basically ends up missing the right timing and making mistakes.

"In practice I am able to fully rotate my jumps so I have to fortify my mentality in order to avoid underrotation calls in competition."

Sounds like a case of "I need to rotate this I need to rotate this I need to rotate this --- I totally underrotated this".

She did look tense when jumping. Considering the disaster of Skate Canada and that the place for GPF was even harder to gain this year... I see why she felt like this. Hopefully, she'll find a way to fix this before GPF. She's so superb to watch, I want to see her being happy with her performance again.

i can imagine the amount of practice he had in front of mirror (maybe he didnt but i still like to imagine ) :biggrin: :laugh:

btw, i just watched Satoko's FP with NBC commentary (many thanks to sabinfire! :luv17:) and Tara said jumps aside, she loves to watch Satoko the most, i dont know whether among the competitors at NHK or general but still :luv17:

I very much agree with Tara. Johnny disagreed but I wasn't really buying his reasoning.

You are right. In front of mirror. That hip rolling thing needs amount of practice. :biggrin:

I hope Satoko does well at GPF, too and has some cute interactions with Yuzuru and other skaters.
