Satoko Miyahara

It's good to see that she's taking extra care to avoid a more serious injury. Such rotten luck, though. I'm just glad this is just an ice show and not a competition.

It's not completely unexpected, now she's basically learning to jump again so there will be some painful landings/falls.

I watched her SP and I feel so deeply mesmerized with her Sayuri programme. Asides from her jumps, the whole package was just..wow. (During the three performances, I read some fans' reports/summary on her jumps in her three The ice performances and I gotta say that they showed improvement in every performance).

Now the programme:
The music was superb, especially love the part where the music changed from a more modern orchestra type to a more traditional Japanese sound during her step sequence (if I am not wrong). Her costumes, her hair and her hairpiece were just perfect. Love love her ending pose and her eyes, it gives a vibe of a strong woman. She is a beautiful woman no doubt but she looks exceptionally beautiful, mature, and womanly in this programme. It is not easy to perform after a serious injury that force you to go back to basic and re-trained your jumps, especially when time is running short and pressure is mounting. But I am sure she can do it. She is a lady who make her goals come true and she has strong backbone.

All the best Satton!!!!! Once you overcome your hurdle and get back to your prime condition and With such a great programme, I hope you can go and even medal at the Olympics.

Now I am very curious with her LP. I didn't have much expectation for her SP but it captivates me much deeper that I expected.

When I first watched her skate after her injury, I think it was during the university showcase if I remember correctly, I also got the vibes that she is so happy just to be able to skate again. She exuded a happy aura in the short clips I watched.

Cannot wait for her LP and her back to her 100%.

Go Satoko!!

Satoko wrote a new blog post. She revealed she designed the costume for the SP herself. She also posted a drawing.

She says the diagonal line symbolizes the classic kimono.

i really love it, its very modern without losing kimono feel :luv17: she tends to change costume as season goes on but since she designed this costume hopefully its here to stay

Awww! Such a kind-hearted young lady. :luv17: As a past-owner of turtles, thank you!

"I've put a lot of effort into skating until now. I'd like to show the results this season. In my mind, I know exactly what I'd like to show you in terms of my artistry. I'm going to get there so I don't have time to spend being depressed. That's what I tell myself on days when I'm a bit down, to rise about this. I'm going to do everything I can to get a ticket to the Olympics, which is my ultimate goal."
