Satoko’s comment after the performance (sorry, it’s rough translation)
“I managed to get skating without mistake and am relived. But what’s important is FP tomorrow and have to keep it up.”

About her expressions.
“First 3-3 combo was much better than I thought. Since then, I sparked my skating in step sequence and could be strong.”
About her title as the defending champion
“I didn’t think too much of my title, and I intended to achieve my performance as I practiced.”
About FP tomorrow
“I could get a nice performance at SP. In FP also, I want to skate firmly and finish with a better performance.”

Satoko is a true competitor. She's got a nice head on her shoulders. Thanks for the translations. :D

Congrats on you national title Satoko! :D So proud and happy for our Tiny Queen :luv17::hap57::hap10::clapper::gclap:

Congratulations to our Tiny Queen, savior of all the competitions, savior of world for winning nationals and being the rightful owner of throne once again! :cheer::love: I know Yuzuru is the star(he is my star too ) but Satoko should be the one to close gala tomorrow!

Just wanted to say - To anyone that's been taking Satoko lightly, I think she's proven that she's a formidable competitor.
I still don't really understand why people don't consider her a podium threat, but to me, she rarely disappoints, and this competition was like a walk in the park for her :)

Satoko is one of my favourite skaters, she have both skill and interpretation, i don't like when she does't have what she deserve, especially in foreign competitions, because she's short and her jump are (obviously) not very high.

Satoko is amazing, delivering 2 clean programs and winning her second National title with ease. Consistence pays off and she is the most consistent lady. She earned it! Bravo!

I was almost scared she'd hit the board on the first combo (I wonder if that's why her score is a bit lower here than at GPF), but as always she stayed calm and focus. Congrats on a well-deserved 2nd consecutive title, it was very much deserved after slaying the competition. :cheer:

I think the 2Lo was underrotated because she got a lower score than she got at GPF.
