Congratulations to Satoko for her GPF silver. Her jumps are really getting bigger. That attack into her 2A. :clap:

Her FS is so good, it's the only ladies FS that I keep re-watching this season.
 
Jumps issues are na evergreen now, but her program was one of the highlights of this event. I wish she skated to this in the Olympic season as well! :luv17:

Also, her Lutzes might be URed but they seemed bigger! :laugh:
 
Congrats to Satoko. I love her programs this year, but as a die-hard Star Wars, am also severely biased, of course. :love: And The Planets on top of all that... yeah. Perfect. Wonderful job, onwards to Worlds and hopefully another great medal!
 
No commentator mentioned URs except for the 3F. I don't know why people go on and on about her so-called URs. She simply jumped better than she did at Skate Canada and NHK. When she URs her leg usually wobbles when she lands. It's as simple as that. Yamato said she has been underperforming all season and she said she can get the jumps around in practice but hadn't managed to in competition up until yesterday. I think her fans here could notice the difference, we almost have her jumps memorized. When she URs we can tell and we agree but her FS (except the flip which was called) wasn't the case.
 
Congrats to Satoko. Didn't expect it at first but her Star Wars FP turned out to be really special. If there is one iconic, memorable ladies' program this season it's definitely this one. The music, her way of selling it, the costume etc, everything fits. I have even started hoping for her to keep the FP for next season so it can reach a wider audience.
The only thing that does not work so well for me is the Holst ending. Her team did put in an effort there, but in my ears the style change is already too big. Imho they should throw it out and keep the music Williams-only.

The whole program is Holst. It's Venus, Mars, Leia's Theme and Jupiter in that order. The Star Wars OST only has a small part in the medley.

She she was the culprit messing with pooh I see, lol. There was another practice video where you could see someone fiddling with him in the background.
 
Pooh is shaking hands with any girls around his friend. Keep an eye on them, ya know.

She and Shoma are so cute. Adorable together.

btw, when will she master 3A and get rid of that 3F all together? its giving me headache :dbana: i think she should do it as 1st jump at lp next season and move on :biggrin:
about her EX, i said many times that how much i love Hernandez's Hideaway program but her costume for her One More Try is just gorgeous :love: and she was so cute at Team Japan's "group number" :luv17::laugh:

At this point Satoko's 3A is a myth :laugh: a taboo. There was a newspaper article where it said she was gonna do it this season but I don't see it happening. She can't give up on the 3F but right now I'm back wishing she had two 2A-3T combos once again. Her base value would have been higher and we wouldn't have to worry about the lutz in the second half. :drama:
 
I'm a bit late but CONGRATS Satoko:hap10: Oh gosh! I was so nervous watching her LP that I almost cried when I saw the score, I couldn't believe it.
The spanish ladies loved her.They even said that Satoko's jump technique is amazing...I think this is the first time I heard a commentator saying that.
