I have an idea , either 5 letter words. Or be like Scrabble. Need, off the N, Nice, the next player. Off the C, chin, etc.

I vote for your second option. I always like to switch things up.

I will uncharacteristically be the decider. The Scrabble option it is! by majority rule (so far). So, there's no limit to the number of letters, and the next player can play off any letter.
