Jeff really was that much better. He wasn't skating so much as he was floating out there.
Tomorrow night's FS is going to be fun!!!

Yeah, Jeffrey!! You're back!!!
There is one thing I don't get though...
I saw the protocol and it says 3F+3T+C 9.5-0.5=9.0
What is +C? I've never seen this mark before. Does it mean combination...?
And I'm just wondering why he got -GOE. His jump looked just great to me.![]()
Yay for Jeff, this was an awsome SP for him. He really proved why he was the champ. One thing that buggs me regarding Chan, though, is his tech score. Yes he has supertior footwork and spins, but his jumps aren't spectacular, and he did have the fall of the 3A. I agree that he should be in 2nd, but i fel that his TES scores should have been closer to thos of Chipeur, who also had a stumble but not a fall, and had amazing explosive jumps and the same combos as Chan, or Mabee, who has pretty good footeork/spins/choreo and nailed the jumps.
Vaughn Chipeur, relatively speaking, under-marked a bit. I would think Canadian judges would have thought of his performance differently, had he done better in GP series - namely NHK.

Canadian skaters always do much much better at Nationals...:chorus:
They then usually bomb at worlds...![]()
First of all, FUMIE_FUMIE, YOU ROCK!
Thank you so much!
Was Jeff's performance that much better than Patrick's, or were the judges determined to give the first to Jeff?
Jeff is poetry in motion. Patrick's skate was good and he is very quick, but as Kurt so aptly put it "Jeff looked as though he was skating an exhibition, he was in the zone." Jeff just floated through it, like a pro. It was beautiful.
Vaughn needs a lot more work in presenting his program, his flow and choreography, and musicality. He won't be able to challenge Jeffrey and Patrick until he improves that area of his skating. To challenge for the top spots in the world, he, along with the other Canadian men, need to be attempting a quad in the SP and in the LP, like Stephane Lambiel, Brian Joubert, and Evan Lysacek do.
