I feel like this girl’s career peaked at exactly the wrong time. She wasn’t the most technically nor artistically gifted (imo), but she skates with the most joy out of any of the recent Russian talents that I can recall. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching the Russian teen titans battle it out for podium placements on the world stage. But it is genuinely refreshing to watch someone skate with such pure happiness and passion for the sport. Although the sport may not have been kind to her over the years, you can tell that Serafima truly loves figure skating. It shows in her performances, and sets her apart from the competition.
