He was a bit slower in places today, but I think it was sensible strategy to be a little cautious and lay down a clean performance in the SP.

Shoma was magnificent !! I really really like this program, one of my favs this season! Hope it will be as good and even better tomorrow!

do you guys think shoma will make it to the gpf?

i do. obviously, anything can happen tomorrow. but as long as he doesn't completely bomb and at least gets 2nd, he'll definitely make it. seeing as max aaron (1 out of 2 of the men there that already have 15 points under his belt) is virtually out of the running for a second gold or even bronze really judging by where he is now + daisuke and patrick's track records, i think shoma's got it!

i think gpf will be shoma, yuzuru, patrick, javier, probably jin boyang, hopefully daisuke or another guy who i have no clue about. let's hope, because the competition will be amazing and unpredictable and i'm getting excited just thinking about it!

Pretty much the only one with a clean SP out of all the men today!! Waiting for him to top Patrick tomorrow. Can't imagine the Japanese media frenzy if that happens! So happy for him! He is really getting to be quite consistent and that reputation mark will definitely follow soon. Book your ticket to the GPF tomorrow Shoma!

I also predicted he would make the Final. I think if he wins (or even get's second) he has a good chance. Hope he can turn it on tomorrow!

Both FFSG and ISU wanted to keep it going, but apparently the authorities decided to cancel it. I'm furious. This is such a stupid decision, and not the right way to proceed...:bang:
However, according to Denis Ten, the ISU will announce resolution concerning the remaining of the event. I hope they will not reset the whole event...

I know it's the last thing we should care about now, but (if they will calculate with the SP ranking) congratulations to Shoma for qualifying for Barcelona.

it just sucks because nothing they can do will make the cancellation of TEB fair for all of the skaters.....

Uno put his whole arsenal on display in Bordeaux with his usual stamina and charisma. He started with a superlative triple axel that earned a +1.86 points Grade of Execution (GOE). He then landed a clean quad toe and a perfect triple flip-triple toe (+ 1.10 GOE), both in second part of his program.
"This season I have struggled with my short program," Uno said. "But today, I [performed my program] at about 70 percent and I'm happy to be first tonight."

If what seemed like perfection to many felt like 70 percent to Uno, where was the other 30 percent?

"I could have done my triple axel and quad toe higher, and with better quality," Uno said. "But it's not only a matter of jumps. There are also movements and steps where I could have done more, especially when I compare them to what I do in practice."

This, of course, was all before the attacks.

It is worth listening to the CBC commentary of Shoma's SP. Very admiring! 'Portable Powerhouse' is a new one! Lol

And the B.ESp commentary of him gets more enthusiastic by the moment. It is very cute actually!
