Word has it that Shoma went back to Japan yesterday. Hopefully we will hear some news on that soon. Also Challenger assignments should be given soon. Here's hoping that Tree (or someone--anyone!) will give us news soon! I'm assuming he'll be at the annual summer camp in JPN.

Adding -- Yes, this is speculation.

Thank you for the update, even speculative, I was curious what his next stage was after Novogorsk.

He's back in Japan! My guess is he's at Chukyo Training Center where JSF is holding the Senior Camp for top Japanese skaters, but no details yet.

As far as i understood from various twitter news, it means he is going to Lambiel's center, yes.

Shoma, on finding new coaches: “Machiko-sensei told me it would be good to let go. I’ve always had a familial type of relationship with them so I thought it would be good for a change of environment"

“Mihoko-sensei also told me from this point on, she’s still my biggest supporter. That’s why when it’s just me, I can’t let my results fall. I’m doing this for Machiko-sensei and Mihoko-sensei’s sake too.”

Pretty much reinforced what we knew all along - that he was encouraged by his former coaches to spread his wings further and higher. The bond between them are incredible. These words from Shoma re his coaches are very touching to read, to be honest.

I am curious to see if not having the main coach will make a difference in how he chooses to skate. The hints of his programs this year sounds like maybe he is going to try to use his intensity and speed. Well, as always, you got it, Uno.

Off to check out the notes on the time with Eteri it did not feel like he was ready to leave Japan though... and why would he tbh.

Good video. Thx for posting. Love seeing the immediate feedback from Takeshi. I'm anxious to see more than just a couple jumps, but I guess we'll have to wait a while for that. Interesting times ahead!

Stephane looks like he's shaking Shoma's body to make hearts come out from his hand :luv17: so cute!

So many good Shocontent has come from the JSF camp, I'm so grateful! I hope he's not too tired, since he just came back from Russia. Thankfully the JSF camp is in Chukyo, so it's easier for him to reach rather than in the other cities outside of Nagoya.

I continue to follow the coaching situation with interest and concern, and so far the plans Shoma and his team has made is pretty clear! When I think about it, some has really good timing. Very happy to have Honda-san on board to supervise and help with his jumps while Shoma's in Japan, and very happy too that Shoma's joining Stephane's camp right after getting new choreo and possibly debuting programs at Friends on Ice! Stephane and his team have helped Shoma in polishing his choreo before, maybe he can help again this time. And the location being in Switzerland may help as well if he's preparing for a CS in Europe.

Speaking of Friends on Ice, checking the skaters list and yup, Shoma's gonna be surrounded by Shae-Lynn, Honda-san and Stephane at the show ahahah. Possible multitasking ahead?
