Shun Sato is only third after the Short Program at Lake Placid. At a fraction of a point behind Tatsuya Tsuboi, but 17 points behind Sota Yamamoto. That's a gap very hard to fill.
I hope he will have a great Free Skate, at least as good as his Grand Prix Final one, which passed the 180 points bar.
I hope I will find a video of his Short Program, too.

You're welcome! I also hope for a 4CC 'revenge' for him. I wonder if he was tired after competing at Intercollegiate.

It seems that Shun's on the entry list for the National Winter Sports Festival (27-31 Jan). NGL I hope he WDs... This is a really fun competition but the dates are too close to 4CC, and he already seemed a bit tired at Universiade. I hope he's taking care of himself

Congratulations to Shun Sato who's first after the Short Program at Challenge Cup and broke the 90 bar, with 95.08, in spite of a costume challenge and probably distressing lace break. All of his elements received a positive scoring, although he lost a level on a spin and two levels on the Step Sequence:

Congrats to Shun for winning the Gold! I really like this FS for him and I see much improvement in his artistic level. His tech level is already first rate. Well done!
