OK, I'll play, though I'm awful at these things; in fact, I think I'll adopt Tuesday Morning Quarterback's "all predictions wrong or your money back" line*:

Men
1. Lysacek, because he is well-feathered and because Tomas hasn't won anything in forever.
2. Verner
3. Amodio (gotta have a left field choice ;))
4. Lutai
5. Mroz

Ladies
1. Yu-Na
(huge gap)
2. Flatt
3. Elene
4. Poykio
5. Suguri
6. Sebestyen
No way does Sasha show up.

Pairs
1. Shen and Zhao , but I want them to get dinged for that crappy LP so that they'll fix it.
2. V/M, but only because of Tatiana. Why can't Tatiana have a partner who can actually skate? It's not right.
3. Zhangs, because the skate gods will wreak vengeance for the LP costumes.
4. M/B
5. D/B

Dance
1. B/A
2. K/N
3. C/L
4. Z/Z

* disclaimer: I will not be giving anyone money if my picks win, especially not if Yu-Na wins.

Looks like men are my biggest problem when it comes to predictions. But I'll try again this time anyway.

Men:

1. Evan Lysacek
2. Tomas Verner
3. Brandon Mroz / Ryan Bradley

My predictions:

LADIES:
1- Yu-Na
((BIG gap))
2- Sasha (if she shows up)
3- Rachel

If no Sasha:
2- Rachel
3- Fumie

MEN:
1- Evan
2- Verner
3- Mroz

PAIRS:
1- S/Zh
2- Z/Z
3- M/B

DANCE:
1- B/A

This should be an easy one for Yuna. Still, it'll be interesting to see if she shows some vulnerability or not...

Flatt should be on the podium. I take it she'll be 2nd, but if she slips up she could be 3rd or lower. I think it's anyone's game after that. Suguri is probably the favorite out of the rest to round up the Medals.

Ladies
1. Yu-Na Kim
2. Elene Gedevanishvili
3. Rachael Flatt

Men
1. Evan Lysacek
2. Tomas Verner
3. Brandon Mroz

Pairs
1. Xue Shen & Hongbo Zhao
2. Dan Zhang & Hao Zhang
3. Tatiana Volosozhar & Stanislav Morozov

Ice Dance
1. Tanith Belbin & Benjamin Agosto
2. Jana Khokhlova & Sergei Novitski
3. Anna Cappellini & Luca Lanotte

Men:
Evan
Verner
Mroz

Ladies:
Kim

Cappellini/Lanotte
K/N

Yeah, it will be intriguing to see how she scores in SA.
Will it be such a big gap again?
And looking at the field, I would think that even if everybody else went clean, she would lead by 30 pts or more as long as she skated clean.

As for the rest of the field, no prediction from me.
I wish everyone the best of luck.

I suck at this too. But that's no reason not to pontificate.

Men:
Verner
Lysacek
Wu (let's hear it for Chinese champ!)

Women:
Kim
Cohen  :agree:  :party2:
Gedevanishvili :)

PAIRS:
S/Z  :agree:
V/M
M/B

DANCE:
K/N
B/A
C/L

Men
1. Evan Lysacek
2. Brandon Mroz
3. Tomas Verner
- As for men, I think it could either be 1-2-3 or 3-2-1. but if i'm on a bet, i would go with Lysacek in the 1st.. Verner actually winning a competition rarely happened.

Ladies
1. Yu-Na Kim
2. Rachel Flatt
3. Elene G, Fumie, Julia, Alex(you go girl!)
- To win the competition over Yuna, the ladies need decent two long programs. As for Sasha, I doubt she'll stick through the whole competition even if she shows up.

Pairs
1. S/Z
2. Z/Z
3. V/M or M/B
- I'm not sure about the 3rd place. we'll just have to see how well V/M performs.

Ice Dance
1. B/A
- not my best field. i hardly even watch the Ice Dance..

Men
1) Lysacek
2) Verner
3) Mroz
would prefer Bradley to medal ahead of Mroz, which is highly unlikely

Ladies
1) Yu Na Kim
2)Julia Sebeysten
3) Flatt
Sasha Cohen, I don't know what to expect from her. if it is disastrous skating behind yu na i think cohen can win silver with her spirals and spins, jumps let the technical specialist decide.

Pairs
1) Shen/Zhao
2) Zhang/Zhang
3) Volosozhar/ Morosov

Plz no WR for if they skate slowly.

Ice dancing
1)Belbin/agosto
2) Khokhlova/Novitski
3)Capalline/Lanotte
K/N, Please drop those hideous costumes, judges will score at least 2 to 3 points more for your programs.

I really think Cohen can medal if she shows up. The rest of the field seems a little bland right now. It's the perfect timing for her to show up and rack up points under the new system. CoP has been pretty good to her in the past.

Ladies:
Kim
Cohen
Flatt

Is there anybody who thinks that Kim won't win this? Or shall I make it more realistic and ask who think she will win by fewer than 15 points?

Men --> Verner, Lysacek, Mroz
Women --> YuNa, Sasha, Alexe
Women w/o Sasha: YuNa, Alexe, Rachael

Not just the consistency. It's also that Road Runner Speed.

The contest is between Sasha and Rachael for silver and Rachael needs that silver or goodbye to GPFinal.
