Skaters on Team Japan

 oh no please give enough thought to... what should I say in English in this case?... 'noblésse oblige'. :slink:

Isn't it Shizuka?

Daisuke Mao and Yuzuru too…..Even Stephane Lambiel

I'm guessing that they just tried to brighten up the atmosphere and make people’s face smile by making weird faces
Top skaters sometimes make fun like that at backstage especially the time when they are released from their daily hard word. IMO

I can’t imagine it’s Chris Akiko or Shizuka either. Maybe It’s Nobu or Kanako? since they seem to like acting goofy around

I wouldn't be surprised. NobuKana though is getting stiff competition in goofiness from Odanyu recently.

I agree that the photos are meant by the TJ skaters to make people smile. Kudos to them for not taking themselves too seriously. It's one reason why they are so beloved.

I like Odanyu a lot but I bet on Nobukana if any, no competition :biggrin:

One wonders what if Kanako wasn't injured and also participated in those ice shows. Would there have been for instance competition between Kanako and Yuzuru to be Nobunari's seatmate (read that Yuzuru asks to be seated beside Nobunari in the tour bus)?

Sota says his quads are feeling good today and he'll do his best at the jump battle at the show.

Wow his quad looks so easy in the video. Hope he lands his quads both in his program and in the jump battle.

Am I the only one who can't see the tweet? It looks like he deleted it but I guess it's the same video as his instagram.

 I know Kanako wins for getting Nobunari on any situations or if Nobu chose Yuzu, there is no worries as Kanako still could have anyone like Akiko or Miki or Rika…(if only there were Mao  ) To be honest I miss Mao and Kanako in those ice shows so much.

Yup. I guess Yuzuru is the one with the shorter end of the stick because aside from Nobunari, he can't hang out with Javier so much because Miki of course has priority on the latter's time and attention.

Miss the Mao Kana interaction too. How wonderful for us that they both decided to compete in the coming season. and I am looking forward to seeing them in "The Ice" show. Hopefully we'll get to know Kanako's new programs by then.

Thank you for shearing the links for us, By the way is the girl Miyu in Sota's video? (Yea I think that's Miyu, though) and It looks like his body has gotten shape and similar type as Yuzu's.

Yes it's the same.

Thank you :)

I think so  I thought it was Marin at first, but Marin's hair is not that long.

ETA: Nobu updated his blog with photos of the cast from the Nagaoka ice shows and with Kento Nakamura.

 At first looking at its height (almost same as Miki's) I thought so, too, but then I told myself 'Shouldn't be her. Shoudn't. Shizuka is the Olympic champion. Besides, she IS the vice president of JSF now!':laugh:

Anyway, thanks xibsuarz! :)

Reading live tweets from various shows, I'm hopeful for the Japanese Guys and Gals this upcoming season.
Mura is landing quads beautifully.
Murakami Dice has a really lovely short program
Yuzu is --Yuzu.
Shoma's programs are both judge and audience friendly and his 3A is solid while his 4T is getting better and better.
Sota's SP is also good and he's challenging the 4T and has landed some good ones in practice.

Rika is branching out artistically with her new SP.
Aoki is looking more mature in her program that I saw in the latest Fantasy on Ice. (and she's only 13!)
Wakaba is skating very confidently

I can't wait to see the rest of the new programs. Maybe we will see something from Kanako on The Ice? And maybe Kozuka will have found himself by then.
