Skatingscores implements paywall

It's ISUs job to provide statistics.... on a website where you can really find stuff like that without searching forever

Exactly. If the ISU did their job properly, there would be no need for enthusiasts to have to go to the expense and effort of creating and maintaining their own databases. They, and the fans who want access to these sorts of statistics, would be able to enjoy they sport they love without ending up out of pocket.

But, as I alluded to earlier, the ISU don't have a good track record with websites. Look at the mess that there has been since they decided to migrate the ISU Results site to secure protocols. We now have two identical results sites on two different addresses.

I imagine that website takes time and effort to run but 25 a month?!

Though in all honestly I don't really
use the website anymore. I find it much more fun watching without all the data all the time. It's less distracting and things like season's and personal bests are talked about in commentary/show up on screen anyway.

If I want to find results there's websites like Rink Results. I wish there were easier, official ways to access the info but that doesn’t seem forthcoming.

I agree but do you think the ISU would help fans to identify the judges who are constantly favouring their nation's skaters and lowballing their direct competitors ?

The ISU could do a lot better but these sites also provide things the ISU would probably never want to implement.

I think a lot of commentators or journalists use that website too. Tv channels and newswebsites should pay for the Service... sadly it hits us fans too. But from what I read so far everything I need will still be free

I wonder, though. Is this really their job?

Do other sports oversight organizations offer this service to fans? Does FIFA, for instance, supply detailed statistics of which officials give the most red cards to competitors from this nation or that?

There are lots of organizations offering stats. Look on the ATP website for instance.

ATP in tennis does. I'm not a soccer fan so I don't know about FIFA but since they have a computer game I am sure they have statistiks too
