Sofia Akateva

she should be happy her RusNats PCS saved her from placing even lower, where she should've been
Her good showing at senior Russian nationals saved her. We can never figure out who's going to get the scoring favoritism and who will not.

Good luck to SA and all of the girls tomorrow.

The super girl has defended her Junior title!

However, I don't really want to see a three-peat Junior title. Well, since she does not have the JWC and JGP titles yet, she might have to do junior events again next season, otherwise she cannot accomplish the grand slam?

In any case, we'll definitely see her in the next Russian Championships!

She is still not senior eligible next season so she surely will go to JGP series again. But I can't imagine the situation if the ISU would raise the senior age eligibility and force skaters to remain in juniors for like four seasons.

Beginning of march. Well the only girl who's a real threat is Samodelkina. If Adelia is not going, which seems likely.
There will be a shoot-out after all!

Please post this in the Russian ladies thread for fluture and others who don't want a skate off.

Let's hope the city of Sofia does not cancel junior worlds and we actually get a junior world championship this year.

The ISU joke organization should have a plan B in effect in case Bulgaria is slammed with coronavirus in March.

I wonder who is in the crosshairs, given the last sentence of the interview (or, TBH, its automatic translation): "Particular attention will be paid to the selection of juniors who did not even show the level of last year at the Russian championship". It seems to me that only A/N are in this situation, but I may be wrong.

That was a peculiar last sentence.

I think Adeelia will have to clearly beat SM in the Russian Cup Final and that's going to be tough to do with the way SM has been scored this season especially with her PCS.

Who are A / N?

With Sofia skate in the cup final? I would hope so because she has skated so few events this season and she still needs to compete and learn.

Artemeva/Nazarychev, they only competed in seniors this season before the junior nationals.

the plan B for women (jr. or Sr.) should be simple: just send all the medals to Russia :ROFLMAO:

Sofia's free skate:

Why was the S - Kat upset afterwards? because she almost put her hand on the ice?

That looked like a stellar skate to me not perfect but stellar.

Is that Zhenys speaking?

Where were the fans? That place should have been packed.
