My departure from the Plushenko Academy is a decision of the Astana Figure Skating Federation. They decided that it would be better for my career.
I will keep the short program, but we have changed the free program. The first show is planned in Ankara at the Junior Grand Prix stage.
Of the competitions that have already been decided for sure, my performance in Turkey and the Denis Ten Memorial. Immediately after that, I will fly to the USA to see Rafael Arutyunyan. This is entirely the initiative of the federation. My job is to implement the decisions. Naturally, I am internally asking myself a lot of questions about what this work will be like, how many different issues will be resolved, and so on, but in reality I can't wait for the moment when I will be at Arutyunyan's rink.
My leg hardly hurts, but I try not to overexert it. I am still doing the same jump set, but I really want to get back to more complex jumps. I am slowly regaining my competition weight. The scales have been thrown out of the house.
I have been working very hard to develop the right attitude to the problem, not to weigh myself three times a day, winding myself up. So I was advised to put the scales out of sight and not weigh myself for at least a week. I tried and was very surprised to find that the weight was slowly starting to go away.
My parents initially paid for training at the Plushenko Academy, then Kazakhstan took on all the expenses.
