So, now that the competition is done, we can see what countries get how many spots for next year. According to wiki, these are the spots for 2009 Jr. Worlds:

Men:
Russia, USA- 3
Canada, China, Czech Republic, France- 2

Ladies:
USA- 3
Canada, Finland, Japan, Russia- 2

Pairs:
Russia, China- 3
Canada, Estonia, USA- 2

Dance:

Now, what this means for JGP, I don't know...

One skater per event, six events only: Estonia, Austria, Norway, Finland, Israel, Italy
One skater per event, five events only: everyone else

Ladies:
Two skaters per event: USA, Finland, Japan, Russia, Sweden

Ice Dancing I'm kind of confused if the top five nations get to send two teams to each event, or if nations who placed in the top five get to send two. Either way, the USA, Canada, and Russia get two teams per event. If it's the top five nations, the Ukraine and Italy get to as well. Everyone else gets to send one.

Everyone can send three pairs team to the events where there's a pairs competition. And of course, host nations get three entries in their own events, and can throw in extra pairs teams if they've got a pairs competition and they want to.

Helgesson and Hecken got a top 10 placement. Shouldnt they get 2 slots for their countries too??

They do for next year's Junior Worlds. MissIzzy's posts refer to the JGP.
Good thing for Isabel Drescher, she had solid results in the JGP and was second at German Nationals.

Sad about the JPGs. There are other juniors I would like to see more of and not the usual suspects.

Joe

Joe, what is sad? Who are the "usual suspects" and who are the other juniors whom you would like to see more?
