Can you list some? Its hard to find one that isn't some combination of:
A) Massive Stans so blinded by their favs that you really can't enjoy listening unless you agree with their extremely narrow tastes.
B) So critical that they don't even seem to like skating. They just complain constantly. Usually about how the scoring system screws over their fav who should actually be winning everything (see A)
C) Just one person talking. Usually a fan without any real expertise.
D) Not dependable/professional. Sorry, but if you finally discuss events a month after they happen, or if you don't cover most big events, I am not interested.
This may come off as ranty, but I have followed a number of skating YT channels over the years and I have never once been even remotely impressed with the quality compared to what I see for other sports/hobbies.
I'd be interested in a list of options, too. I tried Ashley and Adam's podcast a time or two early on, and wasn't overly impressed, but perhaps they've improved. Sometimes YouTube throws up a recommendation for me, but I haven't found any to be worth the time investment.
Try Scoreography. They are a husband-and-wife duo and are respectful with engaging analysis and not too biased. They don't get side-tracked with inside jokes or long tangents, and they cover both major and smaller events and release their podcasts quickly. I vastly prefer them to any of the other podcasts I've listened to.
