We had a Union meeting and strike vote today. Most people turned out for the meeting. It looks like our College will go on strike by Feb. I am hoping not. There are many issues. It's too bad it has to come down to that.

Based on my experience in labor relations, the time between now and February is an eternity from a LR standpoint. A lot can happen right up to the 11th hour (and I do mean the 11th hour) before a scheduled strike. It's all about jockeying for position and endless give and take between now and then. Don't sweat it until you get within 5 days of the planned strike. And even then, it could be averted and a negotiated agreement can be put in place.
