No, as far as I know they were not commenting in Saitama... And what video is it?

The german federation has to approve the change of nationality: Aliona is soooo good, I don't think they will let her go so easily.
I'm honest: I don't know Massot, so maybe I'm about to say something stupid, but he ended 15th in Saitama to me they don't seem to be at the same level, plus Aliona and Szolkowy have been skating together for 9 years, it's very hard to change partner after all these years and Massot came out of the blue IMO. BTW I wish I'm wrong!
 
Hi everyone - what a treat this thread is! I have been reading it everyday and I'm glad I'm not the only one obsessing! :laugh: I have a couple of questions...first, why did T/M go to Saitama if they weren't going to be commentating or performing at the gala? I guess the Russian federation needs them to be front and center? Also, when do they get to go on a break? They seem to work most of the time.

But for me it would be more understandable if she'd go to France. In Germany she has to pay for Ingo Steuer herself cause of his Stasi past.
Whatever they'll do it will definitely be hard and after such a long time it can never be easy to change partners suddenly.
Plus she's not the youngest anymore (in figure skater age)
At the moment I find it hard to believe that she'll archieve anything big with a completely unknown skater.

In the thread about them here I read that she will probably skate for France, but just speculation.

They solely went to Saitama as support for their fellow teammates especially the younger ones :)
As for vacantion, I doubt there'll be much of that this year. They have the show in Saint P. in May they'll do All That Skate with Yuna Kim and after that they'll probably just have some short break before they start training again.

BTW, welcome always glad to see new people in our small (and little obsessed :laugh:) family :)

No, these are a sports commentator Alexander Grishin and a skater Ekaterina Ryazanova (she is the ice dancer with Ilya Tkachenko).
As for what they were saying about Cappellini/Lanotte - well, nothing too special... In the beginning they discussed how much their last year's Carmen suited them, and agreed that this program suits them very much, too. In the end Grishin said that this is probably the most successful season in the career of this pair, and that they seem pretty tired, and then there were many speculations and calculations who and which places could take...
BTW, congrats on the win of your dancers :)
 
It's just kinda a horrible thing for the German sport if she really goes to France.
We won't have any world class figure skater anymore. Neither pairs nor single :(

And I finally found a Russian video of the closing ceremony with the V/T scene where they are kissing. :love:
I could die right now and would be happy :laugh:
Just a bit sh*tty that I don't understand a word^^

Good question why T/M went to WCh. They said they wanted to cheer for their teammates (that they were at all competition where S/K skated and S/K skated well). Also Mozer said T/M wanted to watch competitionto see level of other pairs (they have no chance to see other skaters when they compete). And finaly they had meeting with japan fans ;) (they had another one during GPF). Maybe there is something else we don't know.
About break - they have a lot of showa in different cities of Russia in April and All That Skate in begining of May. So it's difficult to say when they will have real vacations, because in the middle of May they usually begin to work on new programms.

I think they know how much they can do without a realy break. They might take it after All That Skate and begin with the new programms in June. Might depend on when they'll start their season...
 
I really hope they can get a good break. Wonder where they´ll go then, another Caribbean trip maybe? :)

Thank you so much, for everything!! I'm happy for anna and luca, i think anna's face when she realised they wow was priceless, and totally unexpected! :laugh:
