Question: how does one organize these fan meetings? Through their fan clubs or is it something like a "best kept secret" and they pass it amongst themselves?
It wasn't obvious to me when I saw the NBC broadcast the first time. It kind of blends in with the music unless you're really listening for it. Once you've heard it once though, then it's hard NOT to hear it - ha ha! Wish I knew what the word is that he says. If I can figure out a phonetic spelling for it, I'll post it later to see if someone can interpret

Thank you so much! The part she speaks about Aliona and Robin is very interesting.... I don't know why but I don't like Aliona, I don't know if it is because of her caracter or what...
I don't like her either although I respect her skills as a skater. However she is nowhere near Tatiana in expression, sensitivity and sincerity.

?Hm...i don't like Aliona like person... I don't like her behavior... Last years when she already began losing her 1st place (for Tanya and Max) and it seems like she is envy...envy to Tanya. Because, all life she was 1st and Tanya after her and now Tanya is...she find her Max and win Olympics. Twice... And Aliona lose it. Twice. So, i don't like her (but of course respect for figure skating skills). And it's not about pair, only Aliona, Robin seems be pleasant person and i wish to him all the best
Also, another idiosyncrasy of Aliona - she don't be able to lose. It's always somebody guilty...
And when somebody started to compare Aliona with Tanya...i just "what did you said? They are sooooo different!"
But it will be interest to watch how Aliona will try to win Olympics again

I've been reading this thread for a while and thought I might just write something as well. I've really enjoyed watching T&M skating since their first international championship appearance. But it got "worse" during the Europeans this year. I just LOVED <3 their Masquerade program...
I'm Swedish, live in Sweden but I know Russian as well. So maybe I can help out sometimes with translations and such.

I just now realized that the lady translator actually told Max to cut the cake like a wedding cake and he repeated to Tanya "like a wedding cake" and she laughs
And I just love how he always, always looks adoringly at her, every few minutes.I'm not a huge fan of Aliona either. She used to be good friends with Tatiana until she got together with Max and started to win. And I agree with Tanya, poor Robin, they would have got some nice money, but Aliona has an obsession with the Olympic gold. Maxim also gave an interview and said the same as Tanya, even saying he talked to Robin recently and that he was upset he was left on the outside even though they had contracts signed.

1. Maxim and Tanya seem to be sweet no matter what they do. I hope someone uploads yesterday's performance
2. I used to like Aliona 'cause she and Robin were the only great figure skaters we had in Germany.
That kind of faded after the 2010 Olympics when Steuer and Savchenko both said it was solely Robin's fault the didn't win gold
even though she made mistakes as well. :scowl:
3. The main problem is that Aliona and Ingo are a couple and Robin did never stand a chance against the two of them. I really
feel sorry for him and sommewhat admire him that he pulled through with that for 11 years.
