OMG, I found this treasure from YouTube. This is so hilarious that I can't stop giggling to myself.
Admittedly, I've only watched a few of his EX programs, because I'm a kind of person much more drawn into competitions than ice shows.
But this is really refreshing and fun to watch. Tatsuki is really good entertainer willing to show everything he could possibly come up with.

Ah, the program makes me rethink about his general images; calm, reticent, serious philosopher on the ice.

I wonder who choreographed the program and edited the music. The choice of the music edited in funky disco mode also surprised me.
The concept of the program seems somewhat connected to Macaroni Western. I guess he loves Western and samurai films.

That is a remix of Concierto de Aranjuez mixed with traditional Japanese music and a disco beat. It was choreographed by Kano Ogiyama. This is not the only fun program he did, there's also Don't Stop Me Now and Happy Feet, both made by the same choreographer.

Thank you for the informative and considerate answer! I watched Don't Stop Me Now and Happy Feet, and they have their own charms. Using the two songs of Queen for gala tells me Tatsuki is perhaps a fan of the rock group. The first one's theme seems like a nerdy and shy student dreaming of breaking away from the daily routine. With the authentic mime of plucking guitar stings, Tatsuki chould've applied for air guitar contest held in Finland.

Happy Feet is cute and fun to watch but the choreography is a little juvenile to my taste, but is understandable since the EX was performed in 2010. He looked much longer than his age back then, so I can't image him at that time as a 20 years old boy. Still, I crown the Samurai Ex as the most funniest EX of Tatsuki if there were such awards.

My most favorite EX so far is Je te veux, and I haven't seen Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, so will look into it soon.

It was such an incredible, well-done performance, and even months later I'm still mad that he did not win Worlds when he should have haha. My most favorite broadcasting coverage of the world 2014 is by far British Eurosports because their commentary on Tatsuki's SP exactly matches my feeling and assessment on Tatsuki's performance that day. Their gushing over his splendid performance heightens my emotion as well.

The caption beneath the photo says presenter and former tennis player Shuzo Matsuoka asked Daisuke's opinion on Tatsuki's sudden retirement to which Daisuke only responded with a bitter smile.

I looked at the picture ionap and it looks to me that there is no bitter smile on Daisuke's lips. I wonder why the caption was so worded. Daisuke looks quite pensive though. Congratulations to him on his award and as always, wishing him and Tatsuki too all the best.

Not too sure about that myself, it looks like the picture shows Matsuoka in the middle of asking the question rather than Daisuke's reaction after that.

I wish they wouldn´t ask Daisuke about Machida´s retirement. Must be conflicting for him to see a healthy skater like Tatsuki retired when he can´t no longer skate in a competitive way due to his knee.

Dai must feel terrible. But he had a great run, and gave us many years of excellent performances, so hopefully he'll have no regrets.

I think the photographer was too quick in this case.

It is conflicting, but not for himself. He doesn't want to skate competitively anymore regardless of the state of his knee. He even admitted he lost motivation long before he retired. But Tatsuki has been his junior since high school, all the way through university so they're obviously very close. Daisuke is probably one of the few persons who know Tatsuki well and he considered Tatsuki an important figure in the Japanese team. He also mentioned he knew Tatsuki wanted to make an impact on the sport and that he wished that for him - so after all that a bitter smile was probably the only way he could respond to his retirement.

The film stars two of the greatest thespians that have graced the stage and film: Dame Maggie Smith and Dame Judi Dench so that may be a fun factor as well as seeing those big radios before the advent of the transistor radios. And yes, the film has "a tragic love story," which is the theme of Tatsuki's SP. Interested to learn your thoughts after watching.

Thank you for the insightful review of the film! I'm relieved to hear that the film has good features. Seemingly the movie doesn't have young and beautiful actors starred (how shallow of me ), but I've enjoyed most of films and TV series in which Dame Smith starred such as recently her featuring in Downton Abbey. Oh, thank you for the info. I'm more convinced that Tatsuki is indeed a great storyteller. I didn't think that he intended to just deliver the program by following the plot line of the film, however since he is a perfectionist, he probably might watch the film or its original novel. I'm glad that he didn't give up his competitive career earlier when his outcome was not enough to make himself to World team, so we can see his well-ripen artistry in such the program conveying a love story from his version and experience. Every day, I've watched his SA Beethoven piece at least one at a time, but avoided watching the particular SP. Because his final SP performance at Japanese Nationals is the most superb in the season, I'm reluctant to constantly remind of his retirement. Instead, I need some diversion from the reality, but still feel to connect with him in a way.
