Well, they will lose their ranking points as they expected to get and opportunities to run their routines in a A level competition and to expose their programs to audience and accustomed to their programs too even though they are top rank skaters. Practice and actual engagements are totally different things.
What has happened is certainly sad and tragic, but yesterday, worldwide, approximately 150,000 people died, many under horrific circumstances--starvation, horrific disease, brutal murder. Their deaths should be no less grieved than those in France. About that many die every day of the year, and yet we go on as best we can, carrying on with our lives , our hearts heavy with grief and sometimes with fear, in recognition of our own mortality.

Haha I know but even with TEB cancelled, and them not making the GPF, I still think they'll do well at Nationals. . Obviously, T/M has Stobolva/Klimov to worry about but I think S/K is very shaky this year. And none of the russian ladies (except for Evegenia) has shown that much either. Obviously, still need to see what Adelina is going to do, but I still think Tuk can make the team.

Japanese news clip of TEB being cancelled and skaters' reaction. Judging from the announcer's words, I feel that ISU already decides to take SP score as final standings. And the JSF lady officer was telling Kanako that they think it is better to go back to Japan as soon as possible. Then Kanako asked "immediately?", the lady said yes because there is no need to stay there since they cannot compete anyway.

Zabiako/Enbert did great at Mordovian Ornament and I still think of AR as a possible contender for the bronze.
In ladies event anything can happend. And there are some skaters, who took part at JGP (like Maria Sotskova) and age eligible to be at Europeans.
Anyone could be out of the team this year.
I think so too. There is new Mishin interview there he said that there is no other choice.... That's sad... Liza and Max out of the final...

This is ridiculous. A specific act of violence in another city suddenly makes all of France unsafe? It's as if people think World War 3 has broken out in France. This is insane. You can't stop life and give in to things like this. What a waste.
After reading the GS article Terror attacks in Paris; 2015 Trophée Bompard cancelled and learning that the previous venue for TEB is very close to the area where the terror attacks occurred Fri night, I google mapped, LESS than 9 min drive, 3km between Bercy Arena and Bataclan theatre!!!
And knowing that the attacks happened around the time of the Pair SP, OMG~~
Looking further into it, from 1996-2013, TEB occurred in Paris. And at least from 2001-2013 (wiki doesn't provide the location prior to that), the event was hold in Bercy Arena.

I think it is not a good decision to cancel the rest of the event. The skaters could've performed without audience on Sunday, which is supposed to hold a gala exhibition, so that possible concerned activities from the people who pretend to be audience could've been prevented.

The ISU people on the ground were probably with you on that, Orsome version of that, But it seems in the end it was not their choice anyways

Let's pretend that Skate America was going on during the 9/11 attacks and the SP/SD had already happened. Would anyone really have expected the competition to continue?

As for the skaters, of course it is a shame for the GPF rankings, especially for those who did not perform good SPs here. But, at the end of the day, it is just a GP event. By the time Worlds rolls around, no one will care one bit about how TEB affected GPF rankings.
