I attended one of the best concerts ever last night! Who knew the Counting Crows were so amazing live? And I met the Goo Goo Dolls, so that was a trip.

And I come here to see the thread burst from 5 to NEARLY 20 pages!?!? NOICE.

Big rant.....

We went out to dinner because it was a beautiful evening with low humidity.

We had dinner at one of our favorite Italian Resturants and had a great time.

Our waitress was great and she waited on the table next to us that had a family of five..the parents and three boys..pre-teens to early teens. They had this poor girl runnig around, get this, get that. Well the got the bill and paid it and left a 75 cent tip on a 50 dollar bill. The waitress was upset and almost in tears and I asked her what the problem was and I got the above information.

So when I paid my bill with tip, I gave her an extra 10 dollars to cover the other bill. I told her it was not fair for her to be punished by people in the shallow end of the gene pool. She was grateful since she is making money for college.

There are sure a lot of sh*theads out there!

I had one like that when I waitressed way back when - on Christmas Eve no less! One of their rotten children threw all his food on the floor, while the other one mashed it into the carpet as he got up and down, up and down, running around the restaurant and annoying the other customers. They had dietary restrictions too, and couldn't eat anything off the menu, so the cooks made things up special for them. This happened about 21 years ago, and I still remember the twits. :scowl:

I also remember the really great customers like you, and I can tell you from experience that you made her day! She'll remember you 20 years later. :agree:
