Nobody posted about this one and it was my favorite of them all so far this season. There was more of a combination of skating and music in this one and Seal is actually interesting to watch sing. I loved the music. I was a bit bummed to find out it's not airing on the Style network (at least not to my knowledge) since a good 40 minutes of was preempted by hockey. Of course I didn't record it because the rest of them have been kind of crummy, and I though if it was good, I would record it from Style. Oh well - I thought it was a pretty good show and cast.

The show will be re-aired on NBC on the afternoon of Saturday, January 19 (for an hour and a half). The Style network will re-air it twice - on February 10 from 10 AM to 12 noon EST and on February 15 from 5 to 7 PM EST. As always, check your local listings.
I was extremely irritated with the way it was shown on NBC on New Year's Day. There was an outdoor hockey game that went overtime, and four skaters programs were completely chacked (Todd, Silvia, Jen, and Amber). The last thirty-five minutes of the broadcast had tons of commercials and very little skating. This is not the first time this has happened in a skating program (2006 Halloween on Ice comes to mind - a NASCAR event went into overtime and the NBC show was chopped up like crazy - thank goodness for the Style Network).

I have to agree with Iluvtodd. The broadcast really stunk. I will look forward to seeing the whole show on the Style Network in February!!

Over on the FSU board someone posted a link to a channel that's airing the Seal show Jan 9th! It's called Universal HD channel...after checking my listings I do get this station. I have Time Warner cable and it's on channel 1860 on my digital cable box. Maybe some of you get this and are unaware like me. Here's the link http://www.universalhd.com check the schedule for Jan 9th..I couldn't get the direct link to the schedule page to work. They are also airing Kristy's show right before the Seal show!

You might have this channel on your cable system...I do. But you have to have a High Definition TV and and HD Cable box and/or service. Any channel with HD after it is for HIgh Definition only and most regular TV users won't get it.

I enjoyed what I saw of the Seal show....but as always, I had to fume for 40 minutes mumbling about how "other sports always take precedence over figure skating and figure skating fans should never expect their shows to start on time or pre-empt another sport".
I wasn't real familiar with Seal's music except for Kiss by a Rose and Crazy, but I kinda liked the other stuff he performed.

I caught a few minutes of the show. Unfortunately, I only like one Seal song - Kissed by a Rose - the rest I find irritating. I also did not think much of his music suited skating. All sounded the same. Kind of boring....

NBC will be rebroadcasting the whole show on January 19th from 3 - 4:30 pm. Just wanted to let everyone know since it was cut short by the hockey game.
