Underrated Rivalries

The canadian girls rivalry ended after worlds. If it was difficult for gabby to beat kaitlyn before with all her mistakes can you imagine now lol.
Why cant shoma win. He has the talent and is younger. Is all up to him.
The best rivalry we had in men skating. Very epic.
I do not claim that Shoma can not win. There is always a chance. But for now I see that Yudzuru is stronger. And I'm wondering, can Shoma become the number one by defeating Yudzuru? Or he will have to wait for Yudzuru to leave.
Depends on how quickly Yuzuru feels like leaving, how healthy they both are, and how many times they go head-to-head. It very likely would have happened at some point this season, except that Yuzuru was out most of the year. Between the GPF, 4CCs, Nationals, and Worlds. The odds were pretty high that at least one of those times Shoma would have come out on top. If Yuzuru had been forced to come back early in order to earn a spot at Worlds, then he might well have lost to Shoma. I think the odds are also that Shoma would have felt less pressure at those events in between if Yuzuru had competed. It's still a different challenge to win when the expectations are all on you. A loss is a loss. The odds are that if you compete often enough against stiff enough competition, you are going to drop a few competitions. It's not the big deal people seem to make it out to be. Doesn't make you more of a champion to go undefeated all the time, IMO.
Actually, in the confrontation between Shoma and Yudzuru, there is little epic.
I want to see the battle of the Titans (Yagudin / Plushenko), but for now it's a one-goal game. The whole point in the battle between Zhenya and Lesha was that they always won and lost each other. The result of the battle was always a surprise to the audience. Therefore, for me, Юзуру vs Shoma is an underestimated rivalry.

They were honest, I liked it.
Most skaters try not to show their true attitude to rivals. They say that they are friends with each other. Every time I hear it I think you're serious?
And some of them are really friendly with each other. But in some cases it's hard to believe in friendship.
