Boy am i lucky! Last week I got to tell you about Caroline and yesterday, I was lucky enough to watch a whole session where bebe was skating! She was with Ken and he was coaching her and a novice-level girl at the same time. She did two full run-throughs of her LP, Yellow River Concerto. It is noce to see her skate to somthing slower, and she really can handle it well. She was very motivated and after a bad skate the first time she pulled it out the second time. She is working hard on her triple triple. It is nowhere as good as Caroline's. She was fell on the 1st jump, a flip a few times, and finally landed it in the program with a hop into a 2 loop. She came close to landing it once, but fell on the 3 loop. I hope she can get it before nationals.

Her spins and spirals look great and I really like the program. Her layout is somthing like, 3/3 ( her first jumping pass) triple lutz, triple loop, triple salchow, triple lutz double toe ( with a lovely sasha curl entrance), 2 axel/2 toe /loop at the end like kimmie did last year. She might have a triple toe in there as well. not sure.

Thanks for the update, glad to know Bebe is adding 3/3 in her LP, Yellow River Concerto suits her very well!

I hope she has a good season. I so would like to see her do well and make a world team this year.

Wasn't BeBe the first American Lady to do a 3Lutz/3loop in a competition?

I don't know anything about a 'first' but I would love to see Bebe skate her best in the SP and LP. And, of course, make the Worlds Team

She was. At 2003 Nationals, I think. It's a shame ABC/USFSA didn't tape it!

Thanks for the update, Tinymavy15. Man, I'm going to be so nervous come Cup of China and Cup of Russia! Three of my favorite ladies Suguri, Kim, Liang competing. :o

 Thank you for the update on Bebe!! I greatly appreciate it:biggrin: Her program sounds wonderful, I hope she does really well this season. I just adore her:rock:. Thank you again. Please take care and have a wonderful day!!

Sincerely,
Shannon:biggrin:

Check out the results of the Japanese Counter Match. Bebe got 92.48 points for her LP, the highest in the meet.

i saw her program at the japanese counter match. Let me say that it didn't look half as good as in practice. her dress and hairstyle were not flattering and her spins looked much slower than in practice. She looked a little tentitive and nervous.

Bebe's skating looked "heavy" somehow. Hard to tell if she's actually in worse physical shape than before, but certainly her performance National's had a wonderful lightness to it that wasn't here in Japan. Hopefully it's just a matter of gradually training her body into competitive shape, and feeling more comfortable with the new programs.

i know. It looked like a diffrent girl than have been seeing in practice. Maybe the jetlag.

Well, eventhough she had some technical problems, she looks better then she looked in the entire GP season last year. I hope she gets it together.

I thought all of the ladies, except Mao, seemed pretty tentative at this early competition. Still, I think it was good for Bebe to get her program tested out there before the GP. I think the slower music suits her well.
