It was evident when she was spinning, poor baby, she got period
I liked SP very much, LP not that much but I think it is decent, she just feels more comfortable with sp yet. I am grateful that she ditched that weird hair thingy, new one looks way classy.:agree: overall it was good debut, way to go Wakababy !

I'm proud of her senior debut. It wasn't perfect, but it's a good start. Can't wait for Japan Open and her GP assignments! Her costumes are not my favorite, but her programs are a lot better than her junior seasons, and I'll definitely take good programs over good costumes

All around, it was a good start for her first senior competition, despite the misses. Quite unlucky that she got her period right that day and when she didn't have the time to get something for it. I hope she won't be in too much pain for too long...

Here's a video of a TV program shown last night (the program is mostly about Satoko) about Wakaba's training in Colorado Springs.

She spent some time there during the summer to strengthen her jumps and stamina.
Here, she is training with Rohene Ward to get advice on upper body movements and use of edges.
She said the steps he taught her were difficult so she’ll practice them when she returns to Japan.
You can also see her practicing the 3A with a harness first, and without a harness at the end.
She thinks she’ll need the 3A to win and said that there are 2-3 skaters in Japan who are already landing it.

Wakababy maybe could consider wearing over the boot socks or skin colored boots to elongate her leg line. Also skirt is kinda tooo long.
Wakababy really is a gorgeous skater. I hope things like this would not hinder her.
Also, Wakababy seems is going through puberty. getting a little bit chubbier than before. This has to be control scientifically. it is tough. but we has seen too many promising skaters disappear due to that.

Some of you were worried about Wakaba's short legs, and i just explained what she could do to elongate her leg line like you just said. I mean seriously, nobody wears skin colored boots, that would look kinda creepy.

I read your full comments. I just have a couple of concerns, since it is not nice to say a lady with short legs, even with all the best intentions. People could interpret it differently (sometimes deliberately misleading). That is why I asked.
it is clear now that we both agree on elongating Wakababy's leg lines. just with different approach, wearing the black colored legging as you shown on that junior girl. could also be possible. but it has to be carefully designed.
Another thing Wakababy need to think about in terms of outfit. is that she wanna appear mature. I dont know black legging will make her mature or not. it is not very commonly used in senior Lady's figure skating.
whereas, skin-colored boots are commonly used, actually coach's boots are usually skin-colored. Personally, I like over the boots socks, but some people may consider it juniorish, thus I suggested skin-colored boots.

I heard that before several times that it's not mature if you're wearing black, crimson, amethyst, heather grey or mustard tights for instance. If you ask me, trying to look bare legged in a winter sport doesn't make you look mature at all but rather freakishly bizarre and just plain silly, i blame the dress code. :dumb:

Looks like Wakaba has a good long break between competitions after Japan Open? So hopefully her programs will be well-polished by the time of her first senior GP event - Trophee de France in November. I'm going there, really looking forward to it!
