The 3A is super clean!

I really want Wakaba to win everything next season with this 3A, and those who are counting her out and calling her "DOA," "journey woman" can have a lot of eggs on their faces. (No jinx.)

That's one awesome 3A! I love her take-off and how explosive the jump is :love:

Hopefully Wakabby will stay healthy and can bring that to competition next season. Since Japan sadly only has to 2 spots for the Olympics, she might really need it. A lady with a clean 3A and a clean 3Lz3T and great skating skills at the Olympics? How much more awesome could it get? :love:

I guess it could even get a little more awesome with a clean 3A, a clean 3Lz-3T AND a clean 3Lz-3Lo (we all saw how spectacular her 3Lz-3Lo was last season). But I mustn't be greedy. :biggrin:

Hey, and a 3F with a clean edge to give us a 3A-3Lz3Lo-3F SP? :biggrin: I think I'll settle for that first 2 for now, but I miss her 3Lz3Lo combination too. It was really amazing, one of the better ones out there even. It's a shame it's not worth triaining it so much under the current rules.

But to think that Wakaba is generally capable of all of 3A, 3-3Lo and 3-3T is just :shocked: she deserves the comparisons to Midori Ito IMO, and that is a huge compliment!

big :thank: ioanna for memorizing that gorgeous combo of Wakaba! There is such 'purity' and easiness waching her jump and skate in general, she's a complete package, just more confidence and consistency in execution, because she's a true gem, sophisticated and all-rounded for such young age. Those combos are fantastic and this 3A from WTT practice - so much attack, confidence and explosiveness! Really looking forward to watch her amazing programs again in action, one of the bests this season for me.

Great SP performance by Wakaba at WTT today, lovely skating - smashed her PB by nearly five points!

I am especially pleased to see the judges appreciating her components a bit more - 3 points more PCS than her World's SP.

OK, I can see her Skating Skills and Transitions could be better, but I've been wondering for a while what the judges think is so lacking in Performance/Execution, Choreography/Composition, Interpretation - so it's nice to see them appreciating these aspects more here.

The program, the costume, the music -- love it all! I can already picture her doing the 3A next year (maybe I'm rushing it a little too much?!) :)
 
Congratulations Wakaba on your amazing skates and completely obliterating your PBs!:cheer:

I will miss her SP so much, it is one of my favorite programs of the season. Hopefully she can get equally great programs next season :luv17:

I'm so happy :yahoo: wakababy finally showed us what she's capable of! and 145 is pretty high and shocking to me but imo deserved. (at least on the tech side, have u seen her smooth landings on her HUGE jumps) I'm so glad to see her smiling and on the podium again. i was beginning to feel like she was becoming a head case after worlds.
The reaction of team japan when they watched her skate just gave me an extra 10 years of life. yuzuru shouting and clapping and standing towards the end made was the best thing ever :)

At the time Yuzu was standing/shouting/clapping, I believe he said to Shoma that Wakaba's performance "gave him goosebumps" - high praise, and I know exactly what he means. Fantastic beautiful performance, and after landing that superb 3A in practice as well, this week must be quite a confidence booster going into the Olympic season.

I'm hoping Wakaba got to spend some downtime in Japan with Evgenia again... and we get to see it on TV/Youtube if she did... :-D

Yuzu also said in this group talk show they had afterwards that he'd "give her all the +3's". Similarly great praise IMO, if you look at his own quality and think about what standards he's gotta have ;)

That is a lovely trio of young ladies there, they all look great! And Wakabas dress is especially lovely :luv17:
