Ok, yes, after hearing several concerns on a +3Lo as being injury prone it's more advisable for her to drop that combo. If judges truly judge the JUMPS in the jumps and not how difficult their transitions are going in and out, IMO Wakaba deserves to have high GOEs. Hopefully with her win in Worlds she will also get high PCS.

I will say, if she can, I'd love to see her try a 2A-3Lo.

Ha! If it's doable and wouldn't bother her hips, it's nice combo to put. Although for your layout, I would put her 3Lz-3T combo after her 2A because she takes time to prepare for a 3Lz, and choreographically may not be effective to have it side by side. Although a spin or ChSq is also a good element in between.

(But also how doable is a 2A+3Lo? I know Leona has 2A+2Lo and she could barely get a rotation on her tagged loop. Again, the problem on axel is that it eats your speed going out and unlike a toeloop with a hammer that can help you to get the lift, there's nothing much that can help you on a loop).

I definitely wasn't thinking choreographically.

But yeah, I guess two 3Lz-3T so close together isn't effective. Also, if we're really thinking choreographically, TBH, I think people wouldn't opt for max-layouts. I feel the 3Lz, 3F, 2/3A, and, the 3S all can satisfy certain music cues, but not all. And cues for three-jump combos might not be useful for all X-1Lo-Y combos. But also, maybe clever choreography can make it work.

Probably more doable than 3A-3Lo. If you have enough power, and good knee-bend/balance, probably you can get enough momentum out of the 2A.

Yeah, it's a general problem when maxing out your jumps. You also have to water down some of your non-jump elements to get them all in (and compromise on your PCS). But I guess if you could use a music that slowly builds up (and if judges wouldn't get so fixated on difficult transitions and how many you put in there), that layout could work. (Maybe another program from Bourne?)

Generally speaking, who is the most ideal choreographer for her right now?

Hey not a bad idea! 2A-3lo must be doable. But i'm more concerned by the two big combos in 2nd part of program.

Putting her 3S so late in the program would probably be the worst thing she could do, given it's the jump that gave her by far the most trouble this season.

As for Waka focusing on "transitions" to get higher GOE like Evgenia... call me a cynic, but I don't think their actual transitions into jumps are the reason causing their different scores. Look at Wakas 2A combo, which is coming out of a really difficult transition, and the relatively still stingy GOE it gets (depsite good height/ice coverage too, and being placed very well to the music - remember the roar of the crowd in Milan at that moment?). Waka doesn't get rewarded like she should be in GOE & PCS anyway right now. Not sure I'd want to trust judges suddenly rewarding me in that if I was her. Might as well go for the 3A - if she rotates it, they can't really take her BV away, and it might as well cause her GOE & PCS to go up more then actual improvements in GOE & PCS (because that's what ISU judges do  ).

I agree. Her transitions aren't a problem. It is something else entirely (something that's been discussed to death, and not having a real reason to be brought up here). She has great jumps and SS. Her transitions to me work. Her turning entry into her 3Lo in her FS is great, timing the turns to the music. There's no pause between her turns and the jump, either, like several do and get credit for anyway. Her fan spiral->twizzles->illusion->layback is the best transition in the ladies field right now.

Well i agree too that she doesn't get the GOEs that she deserve anyway. And i think too that 3A in SP is a good idea for many reasons but not 3A + 3lz-3lo. She already get not so high GOEs for her 3lz-3T, will be harder for a 3lz-3lo. That's why i think it can be more wise to Upgrade the difficulty of only one jumping pass and focus on spins and execution of others elements. I don't know maybe miraculously some judges will have the idea to reward her:laugh:

She still practices 2A-3T rippon? the one on this excerpt I find it better than what she had done for lombadia Trophy and Rostelecom where she had put down her footdown.

Yes I hope next year the judges will finally give him the GOE and especially the PCS she deserves.

Now that it's confirmed that the rumor she's going to Orser is wrong I really hope her team thinks of ways to fix her Urs on her 3T and the bad edge on the Flip is what makes her lose the more point and it's a shame.

I hope so too!

Do we know for sure she's planning to add a 3A? Or at least considering it? If she can get it clean while fixing the flip I think it would be a very solid move.

There is no news for the moment other than what she said during the press conference of the world, we just know that for the moment despite the practices it is inconsistent, she landed once or twice by months, but she intends to practice it during the summer so we'll see from here.

Video of his Byakuyako SOI, I find this EX magnificent since last year it a little improved no?

the thread of Alina Zagitova, there are too cute moments, for cons I do not understand why she has not done the competition of rotation, I need subtitle :( but
it was fun to see the revenge of Alina

It was a really nice competition I would like to see more.

LOL, I watched several clips of this but not the entire show so thanks! I laughed when she and Javi won the human curling. ISU SHOULD TAKE NOTE PLEASE ADD THIS NEW SPORT.

Alina lost so she wanted a rematch. I guess Wakaba was too polite to deny her.

well done I liked this moment and calin JaviWaka; she seems to have taken pleasure with Kaetlhyn, Alina, Javier and Kozuka.

The moment they lost for the speed skating event was funny too.
