Wakaba Higuchi

I do like Mao's Jupiter tribute alot, but it is more classical in undertaking like her best programs are (Or did she skate to this version?). I found this Japanese vocal powerful and majestic, and most importantly modern, which may suit Wakabond better.

I don't think she skated to this version (powerful and majestic indeed). But she skated to a children choir vocals at New year on ice. Beautiful.
I agree that this version would suit Wakaba.

Ayaka Hirahara sang the above mentioned version of Jupiter in the aftermath of a big earthquake in 2004. It may remind many Japanese of that tragic time. I like the song, but would prefer something with less baggage.

If I understand the news rule now the 3F is the jump with the most point? and the 3lo, 3S, 3A, 3T have gone down?

I wonder what will change for Wakaba as the 3F is his weakest jump.

Tomorrow is the Nagano Gala what program will she skate a new program, an old or MJ medley, a pity that we have to wait until August to see it.

AYAKA HIRAHARA is also the one to sing in Budokan for Joe Hisaishi's concert, she has a beautiful voice that can indeed go perfectly with the Wakaba skating.

Oh I didn't know that, it makes sense why Mao would picked the music for the tribute now. I only recently came across it on youtube ... thought it was amazing.

This music is practically used as the national hymn in UK, we hear it everywhere... so it was refreshing for me to hear it interpreted in Japanese to such a grand effect.

To be honest, this performance by Hirahara comes to mind when I think of Jupiter.

Ohh you are making me cry! I can't believe that Korean pianist....unbelievable... it is swee to see music bring people together. She was even doing a happier moment and it is sweet to see the singer trying to catchup.

In UK, we had these lyrics as the ultimate patriotic song. Here sang by the Queen and Prime minister at the Royal Albert Hall.

According to WakaHFans tweet, Wakaba will present his new SP at a local competition in July.

I hope this is his Hip Hop program unless it's the one about classical music.

Too bad we will have to wait, there will surely no videos, luckily WakaHFans always keeps us informed.

Her SP is from Benoit?? I saw him dancing hip hop on ice on Instagram stories and it was so cool, made me want to see a competitive hiphop program. I think Wakababy could pull it off.
Can’t wait for this season to start!!!

No it is Shae Lynn Bourne and his Free program is Yuka Sato (probably the one who will do the classic program)

Oh, great!! I kind of prefer Shae Lynn... jajajaja

Yes I wonder what she created for her if she really chose to dance on Hip Hop I'm curious to see the result, because it's not an easy thing to interpret (I liked the program Shibs and Virtue/Moir) as Wakaba said it will be a real challenge for her, but I'm sure Shae is going to create something awesome.

For the Yuka Sato program, however, I am skeptical but we will see.

More precisely, the competition is 'Aqua Cup' to be held at Aqua Rink, Chiba. One thing interesting is that, the summer competitions Wakaba attended in the past were usually at Tokyo area (her FS club belongs to Tokyo region). Chiba is in the neighborhood of Tokyo, but I wonder why she plans for a competition that early? (or perhaps she just wants to try out her new SP, as the competition in Chiba has separate categories for skaters to skate to either SP or FS only)

apparently it will be June 30, so in two weeks,
Maybe she wants to test it as soon as possible to get used to it, especially since we now know the new rules so it was the opportunity .

I wonder when she will have time to go to Detroit to work with Yuka Sato, maybe this week?

I can not wait to discover all this and if she will score well, in general she makes minor mistakes on its local competitions, but it's normal since it was in August.

I'm anticipating Wakaba's new programs - I hope they're just as strong as last year's in terms of fitting Wakaba's skating style and advancing the direction she wants to go :)
