Wenjing Sui & Cong Han

Just wanted to mention that after the medal ceremony Sui/Han went around the rink shaking hands, hugging, and even posing for selfies with many fans! It was very sweet to see. They payed particular attention to their Chinese fans who came all the way to boston to watch them. Some fans gave them bagged gifts and Han ended up carrying all of it  I guess he's demoted from "partner friend (NOT BOYFRIEND)" to now "bag carrier"

Well to be fair he was always her bag carrier :p

Loved their performance, despite the mistakes. I pretend the scores doesn't exist :p Stay healthy, Sui & Han! :hap10:

Anyone know any updates about next season?
Is she going to get surgery? Would that mean taking this next season off?

I was shocked when I saw their PB with their 4CC free skate that had tons of mistakes! It made me truly appreciate the quality of their elements (even with mistakes) and their insane tech content! Not to mention their improved skating skills and maturity. It seems like yesterday that they were doing that weird cowboy program season after season

I won't be able to watch the pairs FS, but I'll be able to see the SP! I hope they'll nail their SP because it's my favorite pairs short this season!

There are several articles with quotes that conclude she'll be getting the surgery before 2018 worlds(see veneresplende's post in the chinese thread here). I hope this is true.

Does anyone here know anything about lateral ankle ligament reconstruction? I think that's most likely the procedure that'll have to be done. I know nothing about orthopedic surgery..

Yikes, that sounds like a serious surgery. I don't know anything about it at all. I wonder how it would affect the feet though... And how long rehabilitation would take

Doesn't seem like a super invasive surgery but I hope that she takes the time she need to heal! They were so good in the short, their best ever and points were truly deserved. They were also very magical at the gala, so glad to have seen them in person

These are interesting to consider:

"The total expected recovery time is between six and 12 months."

"Long-term studies that look at these surgeries and patient satisfaction have shown that more than 90 percent of patients have a good or excellent outcome."

So they would most likely have to skip a season... Would they skip the season right before the olympic season?

Just wanted to share these gems I found from the Pairs SP press conference:

I like to call it "When Your Handbag Carrier Talks Too Much All The Time (like a father, therefore no chemistry)"

Queen Sui

I like how a lot more people (fans, spectators and commentators) are noticing Sui now. She matured so much and I see her taking leadership now.

Did CBC broadcast the pairs SP? I'm interested as well :) and thanks for gathering the videos!

Man oh man I was lucky enough to witness their SP from the second row in person. They are SO good!! I was really rooting for them to win it, but I see future champs in them for sure!

You were in the second row? How lucky! I was in the club section. How was their SP from that close? I was able to see their SP practice from the second row, but the performance was on another level
