Wenjing Sui & Cong Han

Oh well I hope the CBC broadcast is uploaded somewhere. I'd love to listen to the commentary!

You were in the second row? How lucky! I was in the club section. How was their SP from that close? I was able to see their SP practice from the second row, but the performance was on another level

It's fantastic! I'm probably on television at some point. I actually bought a ticket that day but a friend of mine who was in the front had a seat by her that nobody was occupying so I took it. TD Garden was much more lax about that than the arena here at home. But yeah Sui/Han have a polish that I didn't really see from anyone else, though V/T's short was very nice. They were probably my second favorite save for the two foot.

"Long-term studies that look at these surgeries and patient satisfaction have shown that more than 90 percent of patients have a good or excellent outcome."

So they would most likely have to skip a season... Would they skip the season right before the olympic season?
I don't remember where I heard/read about this, but Hongbo Zhao made it sound like not a big deal, definitely not something that would probably require skipping the entire season! Anyway if this is indeed the case they shouldn't even had been in Boston (let alone TCC), to allow her to compete in Helsinki, get 3 spots for the Olympics and be in the mix for the medals/gold t the Olympics.... so I REALLY hope her recovery process will be quick and smooth!

Yeah from the way it sounds, they're planning on getting new programs next season and I know the fed probably wants 3 spots back for the Olympic team (although it was arguably their own fault for dropping down to 2 spots). I just hope they're thinking of health first! I wouldn't know, because I'm not knowledgable about what a procedure like that entails. But I hope the recovery process is as quick as they say :) I'd hate for them to have to skip a season.

God please NO...My newly acquired interest in pairs would be crashed...I'm feeling like they brought so much live and fresh energy to the sport, yes - with lots of risks for her health particularly, but their push and determination is greatly admired by me, will understand though if they will have to skip season to heal for Olympic one.

Apparently Sui/Han have withdrawn from TCC. Although I'm sad they won't be competing one last time it's probably best to rest before the new season :)

Hmm. is Sui still influenced by her previous injury that prevented her and Cong from competing GPF? I thought she is completely healed given her incredible outings at 4CC and Worlds.

Anyway, I'm disappointed at their withdrawal from TCC (OK, this is no way a serious event, but..) after my another favorite skater had to withdraw due to injuries. I'm losing compelling reasons to watch the newly created event one by one.

However, if that had something to do with Sui's health, well, that would be for the best.

Sensible decision. Right now, it is crucial for them to get their programs for next season choreographed and get surgery ASAP, so I'm glad they aren't going to unnecessary events and potentially aggravating her foot further.

Gonna miss their gorgeous SP though. That is one program I don't mind keeping for another season.

Yeah I wonder if they're going to go through with the surgery then... They're supposed to be in Canada for new programs but maybe they're planning on competing during the second half of the season?

For those looking for Sui/Han's SP From Worlds from the CBC Broadcast, I found it uploaded to a Chinese Video player site called tudou:

Also, does anyone have a good video of their Worlds 2016 exhibition? A few of them were taken down from Youtube for some reason

New S/H fan here, unfortunately I have to admit that I didn't pay much attention to them prior to worlds, and I'm sorry that I did. I am so impressed by their beauty on ice! Han is relatively short for a male pairs skater, but he's SO strong that it's not even noticeable once they start skating. And Sui is just gorgeous! Her lines are exquisite.
