I was so glad they won. I watched both sessions live. It's really special when you have a pair that makes you feel something.

Oh Danibellerika, I am so so jealous!! But happy for you at the same time to have the chance to watch King Cong Han and Queen Sui live. Please could you kindly elaborate more on your experience and on the marks for the pairs too. I know they deserved to win but thought after the SP, Sui/Han should have a couple more points ahead of the others. Please tell us what you think watching them live and their skating skills compared to others. Their choreographic interpretation and connection is so ahead of the others I feel. Thank you in advance.
I cried too. But I cried more at the end of their FS at 4CC. I was actually crying throughout their FS performance at 4CC. To see Sui expressing her emotions were hard to take.

I saw them last year in Boston for their SP and thought they were fantabulous. I didn't manage to go to the long but, well, I don't think I missed out then... As for here, well I was scared they were going to lose because the crowd to be seemed more supportive of the Germans and Russians. Only me and my friend in my section were over the moon that SuiHan won. Also, after the SP, I thought they were still leaving the door open for the Germans. I liked their program, but I thought they were over scored based on their mistake and there should have been a larger gap with SuiHan. And then Sui Han with their fall in the free and I thought they weren't going to get it but I was glad the mistake didn't ruin the overall performance. I am more knowledgeable of singles scores (mainly mens at that) but knowing they had a PB of 144 with a fall I wasn't sure they'd be able to get the number the Germans got. Sui Han skated with an earlier group for the SPs and was easily the class of the field so it's hard to fairly compare. For the LPs it seemed like a better match among everyone. I think the placements were good and I enjoyed the top 3 teams, but SuiHan just come off as better artists and have their hearts of their sleeve. I'll just say Shen and Zhao are my favorite pairs team of all time (I saw them live in DC in 2003 and I was only 17 but I was in tears when they skated the program of their lives while she had a numb leg due to injury. They are in my heart forever and ever and I see shades of them in Sui Han and I don't think it's a coincidence). They're magical and I'm so glad Zhao is their coach. He knows what's important.

An Exaltation of Emperor Cong
People are so busy hailing the Empress (absolutely rightly) that sometimes His Imperial Majesty gets forgotten. I thought I'd make a thread dedicated to exalting Han Cong to his rightful place.
I am amazed by his strength, his skill and the connection he brings with his lovely partner to pairs. Some of the lifts he does are insane. They always have great momentum and smoothness and he deadlifts Wenjing like a feather. Both their programmes are very different styles, but his movement fits the mood beautifully and he matches Wenjing gorgeously with every movement.

By the way how often does one see happening that the Queen helps the other team's lady to get on the podium. And also The King helped Zhenia to the podium. Can't recall seening this happening too often. Nice gesture by the new Queen and King.

just watched the medal ceremony, ahhh poor Han he could be Bruno's and Vladimir's partner 
after men's SP :sad21: the only thing that could make me feel happy would be Sui&Han winning gold and thats what happened, just so happy for them

Okay but the highlight is clearly Han Cong being lifted for the photo. Also, anyone else notice that in recent competitions, he's been helping her down the podium by backhug?
