Glad to hear that CBC broadcasted the pairs event, I always enjoy their commentary. I'll PM for a link :)

There is a report about their recent training status on a Baidu here. I don’t speak Chinese, so can only go off what the translator app tells me. It seems that Sui and Han had a training mishap when they came back from 4CC that kept them off ice an additional amount of time and that they have only resumed full training in the last week.

Actually I think they meant they had to take a week off from training after 4CC. Either way I'm not expecting the world from them--the SBS jumps are a significant problem, and Sui has only ever been successful with them at peak condition. I'll be pretty satisfied if Sui manages to land the 3Ts and the programs look a bit more polished overall. That should be enough to get them on the podium. With the condition of J/C this season the gold is a longshot anyway.

Ugh, this is exactly what they didn't need. I hope they can do a great short and clean up the long a little. It will be a uphill climb, but they should be able to podium.

Yeah, I don't know how bad the injury was(stopped training for what, 3-ish weeks?), but now I'm really not expecting gold or whatever. I just want her to be able to be injury free from now on and skate without pain. Gah. :curse:

Oh, what a shame. They've had some bad luck. :angry1: Even with the short amount of practice time they had, they looked good at 4CC. Was looking forward to seeing their programs when they'd polished them up a little more. Her health always comes first though. Wishing them all the best.

Ah, I can always count on my favorites getting injured good luck to them anyways, they won a silver at the Olympics on injured legs.

Most recent report from practice says wenjing Sui started improving, is getting into the zone. I'm still hopeful for gold.

SO happy about the short that I've been on cloud nine since. :hap85: Skating gods: please allow them to perform their free program masterpiece to its full potential

Sui/Han post-SP interview in English.

Just a short interview conducted by Cathy Reed for ISU, but the video also includes a nice mix of shots of S/H (from the small medal ceremony, mixed zone, the SP itself, etc).

Good luck to S/H in the FS. :yay:

Is it just me but she looked on the verge of having a malaise before the SD? To me she looked sick.
I am glad she could overcome whatever it was!
Good luck on their FD.

On a shallow note... I love Sui's hair at this length - short but floppy. It just moves so amazing when she skates.

On a deeper note - I am glad she came back strong from her injury and wish them a great skate tomorrow. Just land your salchows, mmmmkay?

I'm sure someone much more eloquent than myself will come in here to describe all of the FEELINGS we're experiencing. To go from being worried about them even skating this year and whether it was a wise decision to THIS. What a time to be alive for fans of Wenjing and Cong! :yahoo:

Congrats to Wenjing and Cong on their win, but more than anything, on that beautiful performance! My utmost respect to both (specially Wenjing for enduring all those injuries and coming back), I was tearing up after that SBS 3S, CONGRATULATIONS 2X WORLD CHAMPIONS

This win feels so rewarding as a fan :dance3: Similarly to 2017, they bounced back in such a short amount of time. Glad to see them get the scores they deserve, I loved seeing all the +5 GOE and 10.00 PCS scores on their scoresheet :D
