Emma Thompson! This one’s a winner 🥇!
Trailer for the Sheep Detective movie coming next month. I was curious to see how it would turn out since I read the book “Three Bags Full”.. looks kinda crazy but so is the story😅 .. trailer

I love Mick Herron's books, but haven't been able to see any of the filmed versions, like Down Cemetery Road from his Oxford series, or the Slough House series. They're only shown on TV by some subscription I don't have. I prefer to buy DVDs of a TV series and I can watch it when I want, as often as I want, until the technology dies out :coffee::popcorn:.

I love British shows and this doesn't disappoint! Is anyone else watching it?

Brilliant show. Binged it a couple of weeks ago. And there is a second season coming! 😀

Watching the British show 'The Capture' right now. Third season. Really really good.

If you haven't seen it, I can wholeheartedly recommend 'Line of duty'. One of the best British shows ever. The first six season was between 2012-2019. (Each season 6 episodes). And they are filming a seventh season right now!

And I love "Slow Horses"!

My shows have to be violent and suspenseful :)

Brokenwood Mysteries from New Zealand
Season 12 has just started; the humor is quirky good fun, stories original, and if you are not a country music fan at the start you will be by the end of the series. Trailer Season 1..

Heated Rivalry... on repeat :)

before... I binged on Handmaid's Tale... during Covid lockdown, I did binge on Schitt's Creek (RIP Moira Rose)

I would say that these are my 3 biggest binges in the last 10 years.

I loved Moira Rose in Schitt's Creek. She was a very good actress and I will miss her.

I was hoping they would find a way to reboot that show before she passed...

Finding Your Roots - re-watching after a few years, and I find I skipped more episodes than I'd thought. A few favorites: Tony Gonzalez and Joe Manganiello, Sally Field and Sting, Angela Davis and Jeh Johnson; married couples Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard; Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon.

Day of the Jackal - complete season 1, probably I'm obsessed with watching Eddie Redmayne as the Jackal. It's odd, because I eschew a lot of programs because of violence. But I'm fascinated by how Eddie R. plays the Jackal as incredibly courteous, even gentle and non-violent, until ...

Seaside Hotel - Danish series with subtitles, fabulous variety of characters, 8 or 9 seasons beginning in 2013

Last week I binge watched the Fabulous BBC series The Other Bennet Sister, an update on Mary Bennet and her fortunes in romance and life as a Governess, with the Austen characters from Pride and Prejudice. It was quirky, modern, but so enjoyable. 10 x 30 minute episodes, I watched over 2 days, I'd intended to save the final 3 episodes for a third day, but I was so gripped by the storyline I had to watch it all. If you love Austen and costume Drama, you will love this. I think it's coming onto Britbox in America if you have access. The acting is superb and the location filming in Georgian Architecture streets and the Lake District is stunning. Highly recommend. A wonderfully uplifting story. Just the tonic I needed after Worlds/Skating burnout.

I am binging on the Westminster Waltz as I still need my skating fix and am doing some early junior homework...I need to start watching other things eventually and will take up some of your suggestions - Outlander maybe - too scared of Handmaid's Tale - too close to reality right now. I need something to counter my my current anxious state right now.

I need my monkey fix (see avatar) as much as he needs his stuffed toy for emotional balance

I am something of a Cdrama fan (wuxia is my favourite, though their historic fantasies are also, if just as improbable, so pretty) and recently binged on the transmigration fantasy A Dream Within A Dream (it's also on youtube at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjwDNMPIF91d2I8nBvtrTjVGcQuBVinYi). Enormous fun, but I do suggest leaving one's critical faculties aside and just going with the fun.

Also have been rewatching Wellington Paranormal from New Zealand, which is absurd, unabashedly silly and very, very Kiwi. And I love it.

I love watching Cdramas too, especially wuxia and folklore-based xianxia. In fact, my first introduction to Chinese dramas was through the Journey to the West show during the early 2000s. 😆 TV adaptations of Jin Yong’s novels were also quite popular where I grew up.
