I am listening to Blank Space on pandora and lip syncing dramatically. And dancing. And gesturing for emphasis. All while in bed. Lol.
 
Anything Fiona Apple anytime but the last few days have been Paperbag and Never Is A Promise!! Love her angst and intense lyrics that challenge the idea of a perfect world. Probably a lot of people are scared off by her but not me! I've seen her live a few times now and once with the bluegrass band Nickle Creek doing all of her songs accoustically while she sang...she even did some old timey tunes. She is one of a kind although LDR is trying her best to capture the same vibe ;)

I love Never Is A Promise. Good choice, S-S. :)

So I'm not listening to this *Right now* but my frequent jam has been "Married to the Music," a new song by SHINee, a popular boy band in Korea. I'm not usually a huge boy band fan, but this group's singing and performances are so top rate, it's hard to to not like them.

Anyway, the song has a really cool funk/disco-influenced vibe (there's shades of Michael Jackson Off the Wall period here) and the video has sort of a funny Rocky Horror theme plot (basically I think it's about a psycho fan that "marries" the band by taking away parts of them).

Great White - Elation. It's their last album at the moment and the first featuring a new singer Terry Iloux. Of course, Iloux is not Jack Russell, but still they rock hard!

This is one of my favorite songs by one of my absolute favorite singers--Maura O'Connell "Western Highway." I'm probably biased because my mom is from Mayo in the west of Ireland. She pretty much retired her solo career two years ago, because it is no longer economically feasible for her to tour and record on her own. Which is absolutely criminal. So I've been on a Maura kick--again!--the last few days.
