What are you listening to right now?

Love this song, and hadn't heard it for donkey's years. But it is currently being used in an advert for a German car company.

And just by chance, when I went looking for a link to post here, one of the videos I found had the song accompanied by clips from gala performances by Russian skaters!!! :cheer: :clap: :party2: :rock: :points:

Anyway, this started me thinking about other songs I love that have been used in car adverts.

So, the next one I looked for was used in an advert for a different German car company (no prizes for guessing which one!) in 2003:

Janis Joplin - "Mercedes Benz"

And this one was used in an advert for the car division of a Japanese motorbike company in 2005:

Andy Williams - "The Impossible Dream (The Quest)"

He is such a good song-writer and a great perfomer. And I love the instrumental part at the end of the vid.
In fact I love everything about this performance. It was the end of the concert, he was really tired and became very emotional.

Maybe not so off-topic: I use the name from a song by Yana Kedrina (aka Kedr Livanskiy), an electronic artist from Moscow.

Also, this name keeps the 'fire' theme going from my old username. ;)

For Russian, I know some, but not fluent. I learned the language over 10 years ago but I don't use it very often now, mostly for figure skating-related discussions today. :(
