There is a show on at the minute featuring lots of clips of 70s pop (the real stuff not what ID is offering this year)

With lots and lots and LOTS of sparkly glitter and glittery sparkles and COSTUMES.

I don't want to hear any more complaints about the costumes our favourite peacocks on skates choose, folks...

I hope your insurance covered the loss of your car and that your other items weren't damaged! You've been going through a difficult patch this year :console:.

In first week of March will get a new car, the other things insurance don't covered fully , just covered 43,7% of it and the other 56,3% wasn't coverage. Well just take the lesson from that and look for a security system (alarm + perimeter sensors ) that really be effective and not a Switzerland security company that promise effectivity with its smoke system but don't work . burglar happened in the 3rd week of December . But between paperwork for recover some things police found, the insurance paperwork and my job .i needed more time for it

The voice yes, it was the song that isn't, shall we say, my favourite genre? If my kids were still that young and were living at home, I'd make them play it in their rooms using earphones. Not that they would have. Two of them were classical instrumentalists like their father, one was a singer like me in the same types -- 18th century opera, oratorios, with Broadway musicals being as "pop" as we ever got. Houseful of music snobs, basically :sleep:.

No no no … never snobs!! All the music in your family is heaven sent. Pops works for brief moments .. didn’t Aristotle (or was it Socrates?) say there are 3 kinds of music, orgiastic, sublime, and throw away.. not sure so don’t quote me. Our friend Forever Chan would know☺️

No wonder , his voice haven't a level like a tenor or countertenor maybe close to baritone with a good level of bass but no enough for reach baritone level . is good song indeed for practice. (it reminds me once later of rehearsal as ballet dancer many years ago was a while watching opera rehearsals)

talking about opera ,since a days ago was listening some opera in the radio meanwhile was returning home (later of go to the car dealer to receive my new car , is a Japanese 4x4 vehicle, too much stress all the paperwork ) was listening

I've seen that clip on Facebook and enjoyed it -- love the moment when the singer looks down at the cat rubbing his boot and makes that casual gesture: "Go right ahead." I wish whoever filmed it had continued a bit longer. I'm sure that cat was going to jump up on the chair and inspect the table :laugh:
 
My favourite radio presenter, Gerry Anderson, always made a point of playing a particular song on St. Pratrick's Day every year. Since he died, his sidekick, Sean Coyle, has carried on the tradition on his own show. However, last year, Sean played a version of the song by a different band. And it upset me that he didn't play the version Gerry always played. Especially as it was just a few months before the 10th anniversary of Gerry's death.

So, this morning, I listened to the correct version myself, just in case Sean did the same this year. (As it turned out, he didn't play any version of the song today. 😞 )
