Robinson placed way down at Dortmund. It was Rochette's 8th place that got Canada two places. Just the opposite of DC.

and i'm hoping we can get more for the Olympics...do you guys think it's possible?
Dance-very unlikely
pairs- very unlikely
men- Assuming that Buttle and Sandhu are sent to worlds, and both skate reasonably clean, they should have a good shot. But if Sandhu bombs, it could kill them. If Ferreira is sent, they'll need a miracle.
ladies- Certainly possible, but not that likely.

Joannie will definatly win!! Cynthia's awsome aswell, but just doesnt have what Jo does! good luck ladies!

that's what i was thinking, that it might be possible in mens and ladies. let's hope so!

IMO Joannie Rochette is the best right now on the circuit, although Cynthia is a great skater but she is not there yet, yes she might have won the title last year, great for her it was well deserved, but this year' I really do not like her long program especially, she is a natural stiff like skater and she chose a program that accentuate that aspect of her body language, I would prefer see her skate to something more soft, maybe she will make the change before the Canadian nationals, I sure hope so or her program will be much better if she keeps the same. If we have two spots for the olympics next year, I sure hope that Joannie Rochete is one of them and Cynthia could very well be the other one, so I hope that she will come back to that style that we loved so much of her, I remember the year she won her title at Senior Nationals and the year before that she was there two, her programs were fantastic and romantic and she should go that route, I do not say she should not experiment new style but since she is at the begenning of her senior thing, she should keep on going with her sure value for now, it is not time to change your style right now.

So I hope that we will find her back soon. I do not say she is not good, but she placed second and first in both her Grand Prix events, I think that the fact that most of the best in the worlds, like the Kwan, and Cohen, and more were not there, had put her there, but for Joanie, she skated very well and her long program is a master piece, if she skates that well at nationals, for sure we have a new champion and also at worlds she could very well be a uge surprise, that girl gives me chills when she skates, she is so good and she passes the emotion, this is only MOP.

Cynthia if she does two clean programs, Joannie if she doesn't. When CVynthia is clean, I prefer her to Joannie but Joannie is far more consistent. I do enjoy them both :)

I can't choose who I want to win--I love both Cynthia and Joannie and the excitement for either one's win will be dampened by my disappointment over the other's loss. But I think I can predict who will actually win...Joannie. She seems to be gaining momentum and confidence as the season progresses. However, if both skate clean I think the scores are going to be VERY close since the judges seem to love Cynthia.

Either way, I think both have rockin' long programs and this anticipated rivlary has enticed me to drive three hours so I can spend a day in the John Labatt Centre to see the Ladies instead of the Men and Pairs on Saturday. (any other year and I would have had to been nuts to choose ladies over men or pairs)

I've been a major fan of Joannie's ever since seeing her programs from the 2003 worlds where she screwed up almost every triple jump but was still so beautiful to watch. But I have to admit that I'm liking Phaneuf's programs a lot more this year :(

I hope that Joannie will win ...with Cynthia right behind her.

However, I will not predict the results.....remember, the ice is slippery!

:) 👍 I have been watching Megan Smith throughout the season and if she keeeps it together i think she may surprise people. Shes got the talent she just needs the support. Good luck megan !

I like both Joannie & Cynthia and I honestly can't really choose !!! I'd love to see them BOTH win, however they only give out 1 Gold Metal.

I am however, looking forward to the ladies competition !! Should be a great battle for first place !!

Good Luck To ALL the ladies !!
