Why so late this year?

If there is a reason that worlds is held so late this year, I can't remember what it is. Please refresh my memory. Skating makes winter a lot more bearable. Holding the Worlds this close to Easter just doesn't seem right!!!

Worlds is usually the 3rd or 4th week in march. I remember 2000 worlds when the ladies long program took place on April 1st

This is the normal time. It's always around middle of March and Elvis's birthday which is today! Happy Birthday, Elvis!
