Words and rhyme - game

Birds have different kinds of beaks
that they use for eating

(I never heard of "whiting" in that context)

The upcoming Annual General Meeting
for my condo complex can be such a bore!

[I don't remember if the white stuff actually said "whiting" on the bottle, but that's what we called it. Suede boots were still quite common when I was first training. They were faster to break in, being a softer leather than elk, but if you were a dancer or pairs skater you were always getting black streaks and scuffs from your partner's boots -- which he cleaned with "blacking" -- and on suede you really just covered over the marks with whiting, not cleaned them off. We get marks on our ballroom shoes also, unless one wears the really open strappy sandals, which I don't, but for those we use a special satin cleaner]

"God bless Kurt,"
said Julie Andrews in "The Sound of Music!"

(my favorite lines in the whole movie - as she was blessing the von Trapp children, she couldn't remember Kurt's name, so she initially said "God bless what's his name." Then one of the children mentioned his name, so she blessed him by name )

When eating a hard ice cream cone, do you lick
or do you instead take a bite?

Wasn't Kurt the classic middle child who had to wear the tunic
Handed down from his older brother?

😍 Love it!

My good friend Marcus, who's the best, most talented, most demanding music director I ever worked with, got started in music as a child, when there was a home-town production of The Sound of Music. There were so many children auditioning for the children's parts that the director just chose all the kids with red hair. I asked Marcus if he played Kurt; he said yes!
