Worlds 2017 TV & Livestream Info

Not necessarily. Look at some of the other sports on the Eurovision website.

On the Nordic Skiing page ( http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/fis/nordic/ ), the only event in the video archives is the 2015 Worlds. Yet, Eurosport Player puts up streams for the World Feeds for every World Cup competition in Ski Jumping, Cross Country and Nordic Combined.

Similarly with the Alpine Skiing page ( http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/fis/alpine/ ). Again, the only event in the video archives is the 2015 Worlds. Yet, Eurosport Player puts up streams for the World Feeds for every World Cup competition.

And if you do manage to watch the World Feeds of any of the above ski-sports, you will see on the credits at the end that the coverage is actually produced by the EBU (the owners of Eurovision). So, it is not as if the EBU don't have the rights to the ski-sports. It is just that somebody (be it the FIS, the EBU or the TV broadcasters) doesn't want the World Feed broadcast on the Eurovision website.

And it looks like the same is happening here with this year's Figure Skating Worlds.

Compare that with the Biathlon page ( http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/ibu/ ), where the World Feed is broadcast for EVERY IBU competition, be it World Cup; IBU Cup (the second tier tour); World Championships; European Championships; Junior Worlds; etc.

The Biathlon World Cup, World Championships and European Championships are broadcast on Eurosport. And the World Feeds for these get streamed on BOTH Eurosport Player and Eurovision. Hey, the Eurovision stream even uses the Eurosport commentary (which can get amusing when Eurosport are showing recorded clips when the World Feed is showing LIVE pictures!)

Yet the ONLY places the Eurovision stream ever gets blocked are France and Poland (presumably because biathlon is also shown on other channels in these countries, and there is something written into the contracts with those local broadcasters that doesn't allow the World Feed to be streamed on Eurovision).

To me, this is perfect.

So, perhaps the ISU (and the FIS) could learn something from the way the IBU does things.

Let't wait and hope until the last moment that E.Player will provide. I would love to watch the competition on ISU channel with no comment, instead of waching it on Match Arena because I don't understand russian at all.

If we consider GMT =0, then Finland is GMT+2 (EET) Because it's summer time, GMT is considered -1, so we get GMT +3 for Finland
EST is GMT -5 (standard time)
The important part, there are 7h difference EST/EET, so Ladies start at 3:30 am

If someone is interested, Rai SPort is having some coverage for Worlds too. Unfortunately lately it's geoblocked for me fo rlive events ;( (I'm gonna try to record it anyway though, just in case)

GMT 0 is always zero. F.ex. here in Iceland we dont change to summertime but are always on GMT 0 as is the mid Atlantic. The UK changes to summer time (from GMT 0 in winter) to +1 in summer. Finland is GMT +2 in winter and +3 in summer :)

GMT -1 is Greenland

Ladies starting tomorrow at 10:40am GMT+3 in Finland, GMT+2 in Sweden (9:40am), GMT+1 in the UK (8:40am) and GMT 0 in Iceland (7:40am:dance:)

GMT is 0, but GMT is somewhere near London, UK. And Finland belongs to EET which is 2 hours ahead of GMT (London) in standard time. So, Toronto (EST) is 5 h behind GMT (again in standard time) which makes a difference of 7 h. This is important for me.
This data changes with DST, but only in absolute values. The difference between time zones is the same, as long as the countries have all switched to DST.
I was confused as N America has switched to DST at the beginning of March, and Europe did this later.

Does anyone know - is eurosportplayer UK or Germany broadcasting the ISU stream? I ask because I always subscribe on a monthly basis and I don't see the stream in the TV program preview window. So I won't subscribe if I can't watch it live ...

ISU doesn't stream WC this year so I don't think that will be a ISU channel on Eurosport Player. I checked my Eurosport Player just now and it wasn't there.

On the eurosportplayer UK website, if you click on the 'Live Events' tab, it's showing the Pairs SP tonight but not the Ladies SP. Coverage continues on Friday too. Also, for me I no longer have the option to subscribe monthly - only for a 24hr period or a full year. Not happy with that change :disagree:

Thanks @ ralucutzagy & jessicaandpaul. I've written them a protest eMail. Can't expect me to subscribe if I can't even watch what I want to watch.
But they broadcast multiple views from some snooker event in China. :tantrum:

I know how you feel and you did well. Come on, they are killing us with snooker and cycling and Bundesliga. God, I'm so p....d right now!!! :gaah:
Well, Match Arena it is!

Not multiple views. Two different matches.

At the moment they are showing Judd Trump v. Eden Sharav on Table 1, and John Higgins v. Mark Davis on Table 2.

Table 1 is the match being shown on Eurosport 1. And it looks like that match could well be over before the Ladies SP starts. (Table 2 is going more slowly, so ESP1 will probably switch to it when Table 1's match is over).

To answer your question, still no sign of the ISU World Feed on the British Eurosport Player. But, there is still 45 minutes to go until the Ladies SP starts.

I'll let you know if anything changes.

Just to let you know that Table 1 did indeed finish well before the Ladies SP started, and ESP1 did switch over to Table 2, cleverly re-winding the match back 15 minutes because Table 2 hasn't reached the interval yet.

Which worked out nicely for me, because I was running 15 minutes behind in my watching on that table, as I decided to pause Table 2 and do things any time Table 1 went to adverts!

There is still no sign of an ISU World Feed stream on Eurosport Player.

I'll update you again if there are any developments on that front.

Don't know if it has been shared already, but france tv sport is also going to stream the entire thing both on their website and on their app.

There might be some commentaries, probably more for the later groups, I haven't tuned in yet.
