He withdrew from Skate America and was replaced by Jimmy Ma I think. Thanks for the news!

There was another competition before that, Nepela Trophy maybe?

But yes it's a bit mysterious as it was apparently just a broken skate, but then he had to withdraw from Skate America too.

Hope he's OK!

Although at this stage, I tend to think Olympic spots are quite locked for Nathan, Vincent and Jason.
But there are maybe 4CC and Worlds spots. And next season.

From what coach Todd E. has said, Yaro is looking more into the next four years for an Olympic run (as a US citizen). That said, I hope he will be healthy enough (recovered from whatever injury he has) to compete @ next month's US Nationals.

It's too bad that Yaro had to withdraw from the free skate at Nationals, but I adore his disco-themed SP! Now that Nicolas Nadeau has retired from singles skating, Yaro is now my favourite showman in North America. I felt a spark was missing from the Canadian Championships' men's event (while I do love the "artistes," none of the Canadian guys rocked the house down), so I was delighted when Yaro's charisma lit up the arena on my PVR of the U.S. Nationals!

The good news is he's definitely aiming for 2026 so at the very least fingers crossed we'll get four more years of Yaro to enjoy.

Our skating fan friend Kathy, who sat with us during the whole week of Nationals, saw Yaro @ the airport yesterday. She took a selfie with him @ sent it to us. So happy for him! Always a pleasure to see Todd @ the boards & in the K&C, too.
