Actually red face has not much to do with exhaustion. It's your physical body condition. I have seen some people get red face easily after running or drinking bear. And they're quite healthy.

Agreed, or after a lot of physical exertion. Ross Miner is ALWAYS beet-red after all his performances. Although maybe Sasha got a fake-and-bake or put on a little too much make-up prior to this performance? It seems to be a one-time event.

Yuko & Sasha were guests on a talk show a couple days ago, and demonstrated a lift

Sasha is really a handsome guy, but he seems to be slowly turning into an Ooompa-Loompa, or Evan Lysacek. I wish he would cut his hair, too.

K/S will be in a show tomorrow in St. Petersburg, together with Adelina, Maxim Kovtun & a few others.

thats why they had to WD from the SPb cup yesterday it seems :disapp:

I was pretty sad b/c they're my fav pair & I hoped to meet/see them & wish good luck @ the Worlds
But anyway I saw Tamara & gave her my bouquet & congratulated with the upcoming women's day (as I expected I was too starstruck to say anything else + she was talking on the phone)

& lol she looked as if she tried to remember if we were acquainted or smth:laugh: LIke imo she should be pretty used to fans admiring her & giving her flowers:cool:

I like Saha's hair:p

Anyone know why Sasha loves sun tanning lol?

Well, I don't think they see the sun in winter too much in St. Petersburg, so perhaps the tanning salon is the next best thing? As I said before...I'm not 100% sure if it's from the salon, but if it is, it's really dangerous and not a good look. :disapp:

Sugarpova - how nice that you got to meet Moskvina, even if her star pupils weren't there!

According to Moskvina in http://www.sports.ru/others/figure-skating/1027883402.html, to gain more points at Worlds, some details have been added to Yuko/Sasha's programs, and they will learn new elements next season. In other words, Yuko/Sasha will not retire after the Worlds? Wow, unbelievable!

Yes! Woohoo! Frabjous news indeed! Love them - more glorious skating to look forward to - and new programs - can't wait! :)

But first - Worlds'. Please, K/S - go there and... slay.

I am so, so glad to hear they'll (hopefully) keep competing. Fingers crossed that I may see them live at Europeans next year.

I hope this means that there will be a change in their sbs jumps layout: even if it's absurd, a 3T+3T SEQ is more difficult but worth less points than a 3T+2T+2T :bang:

:cheer: Well, I'm all for skaters competing as long as they want, provided their health allows it. (Is my memory wrong, or did pairs once retire before 30? Now they're all staying!)

But yes, Worlds first! And maybe a title, finally. Then we can speculate about the new elements. :)

I'm glad they don't want to retire, but the Russian pairs field is going to be incredibly crowded next season. (Then again - did S/K say they aren't even going to do the Grand Prix? That would make things slightly easier...)

It's a little off topic, but I found this stuff on YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhGUwUVrRhs. Pretty depressing but also moving portrait of S. Petersburg skating at those difficult times for Russia. Yubilieny's roof was falling apart :(. It makes me admire everyone who was working and training there even more. Lovely pics of Moskvina and Mishin as a pair, and Urmanov:love:

Funny how little has changed in some ways. Now Urmanov is being forced to move to Sochi to coach. But Moskvina & Mishin seem to persevere through everything...what incredible people they are.
