YuNa Kim injured?

Ok...now that I have my armour ready and my bullet proof vest on...I am not sorry to see YuNa competing at the 4CC's. While I like her skating I like to see others win besides her. I do wish her a speedy recovery....prehaps after worlds....now what do to about Mao...YIKES...I better run and hide!!!

That was a very low statement to make. It's very sad to think someone would think or feel this way. Whatever happened to integrity and good sportsmanship? Shouldn't you want all the skaters to be healthy and at their best for each competition? What kind of a champion does it make a skater if his/her best competitor is out of the competition? What kind of skater would want to win that way? If I were a competitive figure skater, I certainly would not want to win an event by default.

Ever hear of karma? Hatred is a nasty disease . . . get well very soon!

*adds to ignore list*

:unsure::scratch::disapp:

I really hope you are joking here. Maybe if other skaters did better than her, they could win. Maybe they should make a better effort in their performance, rather than to hope Yuna, Mao or other skaters not to be able to perform well.

Jeez.....sure wish people could take a joke.....there was definitly a ounce of sarcasim in there........sorry if I offended anyone......my apologies.

I read this on YuNa's forum. YuNa's is now in Korea. She was interviewed at the airport on arrival in Korea and said she was in Korea for intense medical treatment and diagnosis and was heading straight to the hospital from the airport. In her interview she said that she will be ready for Worlds and will be in Korea for about 1 week. Interesting that she will be in Korea while the competition is going on. I wonder if she was pressured by her federation to skate an exhibition if possible or at least an appearance since it is her home country.

wow, I just noticed something odd.. this thread is about Yuna Kim and beklac hasn't posted yet.. wow, that's just so weird!

I really hope she doesn't skate that exhibition if she doesn't feel up to it. Her federation needs to understand that she does not need added pressure at this time. She needs to rest as much as possible and get the best treatment possible, so that she can focus what energy she does have for training in preparation for Worlds and on being her best for Worlds, if that is in the cards. I sincerely hope she can be there and compete at her best, but no medal is more important than her health and safety. Please listen to your body, Yu-Na, and do what is best for you.

Here's a clip of Yu Na arriving in Korea:

Yu Na

Also shows a clip of her practicing in Canada. Poor thing. She looks like she's in so much pain.

She looks really exhausted and injured. Her injury seems much more serious than I thought. Can she still go to worlds? Yu-na and Brian Joubert could surely use some time to skip a season and rest although they will be missed greatly.

wow, she could barely get herself off the ice.

Not a good thing to do the EX if she plans to go to worlds as well. better to rest as much as possible and then go for it. However, for her it might be best to sit out the worlds and try again next Season.

This practice scene has nothing to do with her new injury. It was when YuNa collided other skater in practice. It was last year when YuNa invited Korean media to show her practice scene. Her injury was known days after she stopped practicing. There is no way Korean media can tape the scene. Korean media often shows this kind of misleading scenes without explanation. So. don't worry.
Her new injury must be painful, but certainly not as much as shown in this video.

Yes, even when she was getting off the plane she looked tired and ill, but smiled for the cameras. Poor girl, she looked like she was in so much pain on the ice... she could not even walk! Get well soon!

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe he/she is in Korea for Four Continents.

No, I just haven't been on this board for awhile because I've been busy... I've never seen Yu-na in person...I'm worried about her injury, but there's really not much I can do about it, and commentating about it seems kind of useless.

I thought you lived in Korea for some reasons.

Yuna can't and won't be performing in exhibition.

It seems Yuna came to Korea to seek for medical treatment from the doctor who took care of Yuna since last year. He knows Yuna's injury well and I hope he can do some magic. Get well soon, Yuna!!

BTW the clip that shows Yuna barely walking off the ice is from last summer when she collided with fellow skater at Cricket Club, Toronto, it has nothing to do with Yuna's current injury. What a way to edit.

Just because I like Yu-na's skating, doesn't make me Korean. LOL!

well, because your obsessed with Yuna Kim.. just like I am kinda obsessed with Mirai Nagasu. I am Japanese living in the US. well I guess i am not really obssessed yet.

If I was that obsessed with Yu-na, I would have posted on the thread earlier LOL!!! Yu-na's a favorite of mine, but I wouldn't use the worlds obsessed. Besides I love Mirai too....
