This makes me miss Yuna's 3-3's... :sad4:
I already found them perfect, but now the "You don't appreciate things until they're gone" bonus kicks in, too.

She still looks so lovely! The Queen.
(Always love her J.Estina photoshoots. They make her look so ethereal.)

Watching now what happened to Alina reminded me how hard it must have been to Yuna going to the Worlds right after the Olympics too:sad46:

I am going to watch Tokyo Story tonight, and in the film stars the legendary Japanese actress Setsuko Hara. Miss Hara (1920-2015) may have been the closest approximation to Yuna that I've seen. The comparison is fascinating. She was beloved by her entire country-- more than just the most famous actress, but rather an archetype of the feminine ideal. The perfect daughter, the perfect sister, girlfriend, mother, etc. The novelist Shusaku Endo once wrote: “(When we saw a Setsuko Hara film) we would sigh or let out a great breath from the depths of our hearts, for what we felt was precisely this: Can it be possible that there is such a woman in this world?” She never had any scandals or rumors about her, only a perfect public image. Underneath her bright smile and warm countenance, resided the most resolute inner strength and resolve.
Shortly after she turned 40 years old, Setsuko abruptly retired and left public life for good. She gave one final goodbye press conference, where she confessed that she never really liked acting, and she had only done it to support her family. After that, she never even so much as granted another interview again. For over 50 years until she died, there were no more pictures of her. No public appearances. No commercials or comeback movies. Reporters and fans were always turned away. She never married and had no kids.
What day did Setsuko Hara pass from this Earth? September 5, 2015. Yuna's birthday.
It makes me sad to think we may never see Yuna skate again. At this point, she at least maintained her public appearances. But now that Pyeongchang Olympics are over, will that still be the case? Where will she go from here?

Wow that's an interesting story - her life itself sounds like it would make for a great movie plot
